It's been shared both as a joke and as an actual sign that Kirk was Ashtar in human form

the hollow earth variety then gets picked up by Himmler and the esoteric wing of Nazism, who in general the other Nazis looked at and thought 'wow, those guys are nuts.' But the esoteric version survives the war better, because it allows belief to continue long after material Nazism is ashes.

One thinks Ashtar would've grown an adult set of teeth but I'm not familiar with the mythos. Maybe that was the sign.
