I am sorry but this is just crazy, you rather let him have a crazy 3pt shot, with a probability of 10% at best than a lob with a probability of over 90%. You do that every single time! It was a crazy shot, for the ages as Budkin says, nothing to do on that.

Plus with D12 there he could have broken off the lob pass. You would not give Ray Allen,JR Smith or Kobe that much space much less LeBron.

And as for the other question, as long as the Cavs keep playing two bigs than the Magic will knock down the 3pt shots. They are all amazing shooters, especially Turk and Lewis.

It's the same question the Lakers will have to face if they play the Magic in the Finals. Do you play with two bigs and constantly allow 3pt shots, or do you have any possible chance of controlling Howard with only one big? It's a big dilema for any team, which is why the Magic right now are probably the favourites to win.

Agreed! As a Laker fan, should they make it we want no part of the Magic. Matchups against the Cavs are much better.

Depends on how J.R.'s been shooting that night.

Yes I still take the lob at worst you play on 5 minutes more. You don't think the Cavs run that play in practice? And to add insult to injury Hedo's closeout was late.
So what if they practice, that's still a crazy shot, with a much lower probability of going in.

To me this is hindsight 20/20 at its best. Maybe Lewis should have been trying to cover the entry pass a bit better, that's all I can say. Lebron hit a crazy shot, once in a while they go in, just like Fisher's .4, Mo Williams' 70 footer in game 1, and that's all there is to it

Even though ORL got the split it is absolutely imperative they don't blow any of their home games.

They won't win another game at the Q IMHO.

They blew MULTIPLE games against the champs...they shouldn't be worried as long as they can get one at home against Cleveland, which they have proven they can. Now the Lakers on the other hand, NEED Game 3 IMO.

I give you that if Lewis had contested the inbounds more is GAME OVER. I think Lewis was worried about Mo getting the ball back but he should know with a second left its strctly catch and shoot. No time for them to pass the ball. Also Hedo was late on the closeout but I would have rather seen Pietrus on James.

That's hard to say man, they almost left this place up 2-0, and the mismatches will be there all series long. They definetely can win another one at the Q if they need to. I am telling you, this Magic team is not afraid anymore. It's just like Kenny said in the show, once you get scared once and you come back, you know how to deal with it. I played football for a bit, and I always played better after someone landed a hard hit on me, it got me going, and the Magic seem to have a bit of that on them.

well, cant say this changes anything. its been the same all along. the cavs were going to win a tough one, and it all depends if orlando is stong enought mentally to bounce back. they won one in cleveland, so they just have to win at home. great shot, but i thinnk it was vince lombardi who said: "when you cross the finish line, act like you've been there before. " he totally didnt know that was going in. lol. well whatever, this will be the most replayed sports event since zidanes headbutt or mj's shot against the jazz in 98. bank on it. the riding begins.

What a win. That being said....I am really doubting this Cavs team. They needed a ing miracle in a game they had to win. That isnt a very good sign heading to Orlando.

Yes they can't ill afford to lose either game at home. At worst they will be in position to close out in Game 6.

The Magic came out here and did exactly what they needed to do.

Now it's time for them to come home and dominate. They have to dominate both of these home games and go up 3-1.

Has anyone bothered to ask Van Gundy that question?

How late was Hedo really? There was one second!! It seemed to me like a legit close out. And I think he was on James instead of Pietrus, simply because he is bigger, which means that on a catch and shoot he would force LeBron to a more difficult shot. He did that, LeBron still made it. As some who witnessed Baron's crazy shots against the Mavs in 07, sometimes it doesn't matter how much of a good defense you play.

They need to, that was totally inexcusable and idiotic. HE'D BEEN GUARDING HIM AS LONG AS THEY WERE BOTH IN THE GAME UP TO THAT POINT.

Hedo should've tugged at LeBron a bit to brace himself for the push off, even at the expense of a possible foul. The closeout was late.

Again I go back to the inbounds pass. Lewis should have been up on Williams and taken away the direct pass to LeBron.

To be honest those two moments were in the final game of the NBA Finals, and the World Cup final, truly the highest possible stage of their sports. This isn't quite there, but it might become for a long time LBJ's signature moment, just like MJ's shot over Ehlo.

Im relieved we got the victory but blowing a 23 point lead pisses me off. We got lucky to hold on. Fact is the Cavs are getting exposed and Orlando is showing (in the 2nd half that is) how to limit the Cavs.

As for the inbound pass he should take notes from Colonel Sanders on how to defend a inbounds pass in a tight game.

Somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, Craig Ehlo just blazed up a hogger, sat back and smiled.
