I havent read pee wee's thread since it has spoilers but do you think he is a dumb ass on his review?
I thought it was amazing.

No, I don't think he is a dumbass. I think he was expecting/wanting a word-for-word version of the graphic novel on the screen, which is an understandable wish, but not very realistic.
o?
Can you see me?
Are you here?
well yeah its not very realistic
florige... wtf? hahahaha
Actually, he said quite specifically that he wasn't expecting that.
The Watchmen graphic novel was a pretty rich story, with a lot of charactor development, and subtle interactions.
Sure one can make a movie out of just about any book/novel, but if you like the story of the orginal, you can't help but feel a bit disappointed if that adaptation misses out on some of what you feel are important.
I know that I felt quite a let down about the Crow when it was made into a movie, and pretty much hacked to death. I wasn't expecting a verbatim movie, but they changed enough of it to make it into something less.
Card catalogs didn't evolve. They were created just the way they are now.
Anybody who says anything else is an atheist. HA!
I control the vertical. I control the horizontal.
Do not attempt to adjust your mind.
In a subsequent post, yes.
That goes without saying, and is totally understandable. Peewee's take on the film is, in general, pretty understandable.
Same here. It is my understanding, however, that a lot of that was based on having to edit around Brandon Lee's death. Footage that would have otherwise been edited out was put back in just because they couldn't shoot anymore.
That makes sense.
Don't get me wrong, I recently went back and watched the Crow again, and as it stands now it was a fairly decent movie, and brilliantly shot.
I had to really really set aside my memory of the original novel to see that tho
'. Hard to do.
Jesus ing christ, like I said, you didn't read my ing post.
, you're a dumb ass!
She didn't understand my post, which leads me to believe she didn't even read the ing thing.
She's just being contrarian to try and look cool.
Advice from peewee to read carefully. Truly one of the most hilarious things I've read here.
Respectfully:
He made it quite clear in the OP that he wasn't going for a full word by word adaptation, and didn't quite seem to expect a perfect adaptation as you seemed to imply.
That said, he was still a about pointing that out, true to his form. (I mean that fairly unjudgementally, it is just the way he rolls, so I take it with a grain of salt)
What? I thought it was you dude.
Pretty much everywhere it's gonna be hot.
Then I don't need a jacket.
hehehehehehehe
I would be kinda pissed if I was paying for any college course that used such an outdated textbook for such a topic. WTF is up with the professor?
There is a balance between the book crooks who write new "versions" of their textbook just to keep you buying them every year, and actually updating some that needs updating.
I saw a car in the parking lot of my local Best Buy today with a UTSA sticker on the window.
I LOL'd.
Peroni Beer kicks ass, for the record.
