Leads me to believe they are quietly higher in Anderson's potential than anyone here thinks. There is also Pop's fit and character comments.
Danny is his cousin too but he might have gotten a similar offer (moneywise) from the PATFO so there were other incentives to signing w/ the Heat:
-More minutes/shots (6th man)
-Longer leash (he's a gunner)
-Living in South Beach (he seems like a flashy guy)
-Heat being a contender in the East (the LeBron formula to making 5 straight Finals appearances)

...Anthony Davis says otherwise. Blake in beast mode is the 2nd best PF & Toronto Bosh is better than LMA. Bosh making LMA silly on defense is not surprising considering the difference in their foot speed, Bosh is probably as quick as someone like Durant.
Speaking of bigmen, didn't the spurs express interest with M.Gasol first before Aldridge?
I xan totally see why since gasol is probably a million times better fit than Aldridge since he wouldn't be needing touches to keep him happy. He would have been an easier player to transition in the offense and defense and both are about the same age.
I wonder If Aldridge was always the 2nd option after Gasol...
It's not a secret the PATFO want Marc but he had made it clear he wasn't leaving Memphis. They had to jump on the LMA bandwagon before the ship sailed otherwise they would have been left eating a pie in sky. Marc is tailor made to play in a motion offense & isn't a diva about playing center.
More importantly he's one of the best Post passers in the game. Aldridge is really poor in this regard. he's a beast scorer but quite frankly he's predictable. The defense Knows he's going to try to score when he has the ball...
The issue I have with Gasol though is that he just has days where he's trying to play like a role player offensively...way too many last year, specially in the last two months of the season where barely even shot the ball. I have no idea how our offense would have looked with parker's decline..Leonard would have been the only legitimate option on those games and even leonard has his problem with being passive sometimes...
He would essentially have been replacing Tiago thus it would have been a huge upgrade offensively. Marc along w/ Kawhi would have been able to make up for the declining productions of Tony/Tim. If D-West still signed then Pop would have been able to mix & match his PF/C combo. The thing about LMA is that he can single handily carry an offense when he's in a zone unlike Gasol who is very tentative about putting a team on his back which is an issue in the postseason. Otherwise, Gasol can dominate a game without scoring unlike LMA.

So how much the spurs lead was this time that pop succeed to blow away? No metter who is coaching or against who, the most naive coach in history owe to this kind of crap time after time...
The spurs were up 15 before pop started to play the tryouts. he didn't blow away anything. The 4th quarter was essentially a tryout.
He played his second team against heat second team i belive, the point is there is somthing bad, naive, soft in him that tend to waste big leads and losing games that should have won, time after time after time... No metter who's playing and what the moment... This is why spurs have the most and the hardest heartbreaking loses in history of the game... But people will keep making him the second coming of Jesus...
he doesn't need to coach a tryout team. Coaches don't coach tryout players..they let them play so Coaches can evaluate them better in the process.
Stop being obtuse.
You're a Jew though so you don't worship Jesus.![]()
There is a bigger picture, it's a syndrome, somthing in DNA! What is that in him that who ever he is coaching automatic the team get this naive mentality stuff?

any full recap of this game?
I would have been fine with Green, but he would be a pretty poor fit with the Spurs, both on and off the court, tbh..
Forgot about Davis. Though he's going to end up being a center by the end of this upcoming contract. Bosh is better than Blake, though, at least I'd rather have him. Blake's more talented, though.
Hey, look! An objective game summary that isn't full of player bashing and cliff jumping!
at everybody freaking out that our 3rd and a half unit apparently looked like crap.
2 games into preseason and SpursTalk is already in midseason form.
at everybody not catching the sarcasm/jokes.
Thanks, was able to catch most of it... But didn't catch the end of the fourth....
Thanks mate
