Doesn't matter how it plays if it keeps them in power. 49 million Republicans will pump their fists and say they've saved the USA.

One side seems *not* to be open to accepting adverse procedural results and facing its fully-lathered up base.

Republican will to power trumps adherence to the law if there's any chance to cheat and win, jmo. Leaving any means untried will be looked on as treasonous betrayal by the GOP's feral base.

One would think. I wouldn't underestimate Trump's contumaciousness or the GOP's.

China and Russia are laughing at us... Trump being a whiny makes our country look weak af. Not surprised though that the Russian operative continues to destroy America
Disagree. They are marveling and taking notes at our busted election process.

Doug Jones is dropping truth bombs about how incompetent the DCCC and the DSCC are, basically saying they invest in candidates rather than in congressional districts and states themselves. He’s someone the party needs to keep relevant if he doesn’t get a cabinet position.

Abrams needs to be head of the DNC, and they need to have not for profits like Fairfight operating in states like NC and AZ. Democrats need to concede short term defeat in TX and FL for now and look for less expensive ways to create more states with winnable senate seats.

yes, but their lead got cut in half, and there's a few races outstanding that are leaning GOP... the one in Iowa-2 is very interesting and has been flipping back and forth and currently the GOP candidate is up by like 70 votes. Not a typo.

they should put all their money into defeating Toomey's replacement and Ron Johnson for starters.

Meant to say that their "majority" got cut in half roughly, my bad. GOP well over 200 with a handful of races likely GOP but not officially called. IA-2 will be recounted but it won't change the majority, though every House vote counts when you're looking at an ultimate gridlock in the 4 chambers of US Government (GOP -> Senate and Scotus while Dem -> White House and House of Reps).

Well yeah but that’s different than long term planning. They’ll also have an open seat in NC with Burr retiring, however Burr has enough baggage where it might have been easier with him on the ticket. Likely an open seat in IA too but I think IA and OH are a lost cause for Democrats for awhile.

Id say don’t waste a bunch of money hatespending in Florida to try and unseat Rubio, but I already know they’ll dump 70+ million into that race.

I was only talking about the IA-02 race. No matter who ends up on top, the other one will be demanding a recount

Focus on WI and PA and maintaining Kelly in AZ, aka Biden flip states. You're right about Florida being a lost cause for the Dems for awhile, black population too low, etc. Burr is an interesting one and we'll have to wait and see who his "replacement" is.

The left has infinite moneys but they are dumb for wasting it on unwinnable races like in SC and KY this year even with big name conservatives on the tickets. Next thing you know it, Jim Inhofe (OK) will die of a heart attack (he's about 90 years old) and the Dems will outspend the GOP 2 to 1 there and the GOP candidate will still win by 15%. I'm with you man, I don't get it either. I don't get why the Patriots tryharded the 4th quarter to beat the Jets when they should be tanking, either.

Shocked by Trump’s Loss, QAnon Struggles to Keep the Faith
For years, followers of the pro-Trump conspiracy theory had been assured that the president would win re-election in a landslide.

Last weekend, as jubilant Democrats danced in the streets to celebrate the election of Joseph R. Biden Jr. as the country’s 46th president, QAnon believers were on their computers trying to make sense of it all.

“Biden will NEVER be president,” wrote one QAnon believer, still firmly stuck in the denial stage of grief.

“Trump knows what he is doing,” wrote a member of a QAnon forum, well on his way to bargaining. “He is letting the Dems, technocrats and media publicly hang themselves.”

Some QAnon believers, however, were already inching toward acceptance.

“We’re losing,” one tweeted. “Not sure I trust the plan anymore. Not sure there even is a plan.”

These are trying times for believers in QAnon, the baseless conspiracy theory that falsely claims the existence of a satanic pedophile cult run by top Democrats. For years, they had been assured that Mr. Trump would win re-election in a landslide and spend his second term vanquishing the deep state and bringing the cabal’s leaders to justice. Q, the pseudonymous message board user whose cryptic posts have fueled the movement for more than three years, told them to “trust the plan.”

But since Mr. Trump’s defeat, Q has gone dark. No posts from the account bearing Q’s tripcode, or digital user name, have appeared on 8kun, the website where all of Q’s posts appear. And overall QAnon-related activity on the site has slowed to a trickle. (On a recent day, there were fewer new posts on one of 8kun’s QAnon boards than on its board for adult-diaper fetishists.)

I think the campaign style is a bigger issue than simply where they’re spending money. Gideon, Greenfield, Cunningham etc had more money than they knew what to do with, but it made them lazy and complacent.

WASHINGTON – President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday dismissed President Donald Trump's refusal to concede the election as not very consequential to his efforts to begin transition planning and said it did not reflect well on Trump.

"I just think it's an embarrassment, quite frankly," Biden said. "How can I say this tactfully? I think it will not help the president's legacy."

Biden, the Democratic nominee, racked up the 270 Electoral College votes to clinch presidency on Saturday. Trump has falsely claimed the election was stolen, as his campaign mounts legal challenges in several states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Nevada.

Biden is preparing for his Jan. 20 inauguration, including assembling an advisory panel to guide his efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. He said he would likely make his first Cabinet announcements by Thanksgiving. Biden on Tuesday spoke to leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany, France and other European nations who congratulated him on a victory.

"I know from my discussions with foreign leaders thus fair that they are hopeful that the United States' democratic ins utions are viewed once again as being strong and endured," Biden said. "But I think at the end of the day, it's going to all come to fruition on Jan. 20."

    Joe
