For someone who barely even listened to the game, did Parker get screwed over by passing to an open teammate who bricked it a bunch this game, or was he in ballhog mode?
i was at the game tonight, i just noticed a few things. Obviously, duncans shots were just not falling. Shots he normally makes in his sleep were just not going in. Im hoping this is just a one game thing, but who knows. However, he brought down a ton of boards and got the spurs a lot more chances at the offensive end.
Tony, on the otherhand seemed like he couldnt miss. His jumper was going in early and often and later in the game he started driving to the rim more.
Ginobili made a couple of plays in the last 2 minutes that really seeled it including a 3-point play. Hopefully continue to be clutch in end of game situations
A couple of the lineups pop threw into the game i didnt completely understand. Including the starting lineup, I didnt understand starting bonner who only played 13 minutes in the game. it doesnt really help chemistry when you have a different starting center each game. Also, I understand going small when Timmy is the 5, but at the end of the 3rd quarter Pop had a lineup where it was all small and Blair was playing center matched up against Roy Hibbert who is a good 6 inches taller than Blair. Blair tried to do too much and committed bad fouls (5 in 10 minutes) and thats when Indiana made their run that eventually took the lead for a few minutes. Im a big fan of blair, but i dont know how Pop can expect anyone to guard or try to score on someone that is 6 inches taller him.
Honestly if duncan hits half his shots we put them away much earlier in the game, but our defense and rebounding was pretty solid, and were 1-0 after the allstar break.

Timmy's shooting night isn't a clue?
Manu's turnovers were not the problem. He and Tony in fact were big reasons for why the Spurs won .
Tim had a lot of good looks from lay-ups to open jumpers that just kept missing. Boarded really well on both ends however.
I just wanted to say that I like the last two minutes of the game. It's not perfect, but the Spurs didn't do anything stupid or aggravating...they kind of played like last year's Spurs did in the closing minutes. The end of the game had that feeling and the toughness in the last possession was nice to see.![]()
