They came out a little too comfortable. They lost a bit of the edge and appropriate fear they had before winning Games 2 and 3, but that's somewhat expected; as is the Mavs' sense of desperation/urgency.
I thought Pop really dropped the ball going with Bogans, Blair and Bonner for a good stretch ther. The numbers will tell you it was a positive on the scoreboard but they reall only tread water and didn't take advantage of the opportunity to jump on the Mavs. They should have been able to get a bit of a cushion there.
I suppose the Spurs were probably due for a poor offensive outing, both individually and the team as a whole, but they're going to have to find a way to grind this out; I don't care if I said they'd lose this game and win Game 5, you don't wanna
have to win in Dallas.
The Mavs are killing on the boards (up 11 overall and 5 offensively) and they have a +10 in free-throws attempted (4 to 14), so getting that under control would go a long way to getting the desired result.
Let's go, boys. Time to nut up.
