Oh so since he didn’t get his Christmas present from the Spurs (Supermax)?
Then I'll say why a superstar wants to stay in SA if...

    -he doesn't get the supermax
-Pop will retire in next 1-2 years
-Spurs' roster is LMA + a bunch of non-shooters & TP Manu Pau old guys.

We've already seen this movie, bro. Stop asking me the same things over and over

Maybe, maybe not. After knowing what happened to the Spurs, I think his next coach/teammates would be very careful about the way they treat him if they want him to stay after 1 year rental.
Confrontations happen in a locker room and they are not always avoidable. They can happen in the heat of the moment. I remember Duncan and Tony Parker cursing out each other during a time out of the '04 playoffs in the infamous .4 game. Go watch that game and you'll see it. Both guys cursed each other out and then afterwards like grown men they let it go. Mario Elie called David Robinson and Duncan soft back in the day. I remember Duncan and Robinson responding to his comments and saying it was bs. Duncan got into a confrontation with Elie during a practice in which they both said heated things to each other but afterwards became the best of friends. Lebron and Mario Chalmers went at it quite a bit in Miami. Jordan and BJ Armstrong clashed with each other during the early '90's during games. Regardless of era it's rare your going to find a locker room that has always been perfect without any confrontations. like that happens they are all grown men.

Because Kawhi or any other franchise player wants teammates hating on him...Yeah, that's an ideal situation
Hating on him. Or did TP just answer a DIRECT question about his injury compared to Kawhis.

TP wasn't hating on Kawhi, he was trying to help him.

    Tough love.

Trying to get him to look in the mirror so he could see himself and save himself.

    An intervention, if you will.

Now, it's too late, I'm afraid, for Kawhi. Too bad but we all have to move on . . .

    Parker's injury was 100 times worse...he played.
Parker playing like all season just made Kawhi's point.

A quad injury is enough serious to be extremely cautious and not playing until full recovery.

Who would blame Kawhi because he didn't want to risk his body and end like Parker.

I'm guessing LAC, even though their best offer isn't very good.

    August 2017:
Kawhi’s Group: Hey, let’s talk contract extension! Kawhi is eligible for the supermax!
Spurs: Umm, we’ll see. We’ll offer more than any other team can... but you know, Tim used to take less so we’d have flexibility to add other pieces, plus we’re a small-market team...
Kawhi: Da fuq? I’m a Top 3 player! Does Steph Curry get nickel-and-dimed? James Harden? Westbrook? LeBron? Am I worth less to you than they are? Are Oklahoma City and Cleveland large markets? What does Tim have to do with this?
    Spurs: We’ll keep in touch.

    September 2017:
    LeBron: Sup Kawhi
    Kawhi: What it do
LeBron: I was thinking it would be cool to play in L.A.
    Kawhi: Yah
LeBron: Me and PG13 will be free agents in 2018. You?
    Kawhi: 2019.
LeBron: Damn shame. It would be fun as , you could do your thing, with me there you could fly under the radar but still get the hardware like KD. Close to home... SA is a faaar cry from L.A.
    Kawhi: True dat
LeBron: But oh well, you’re under contract, and I bet the Spurs would trade you for a warm Karl before sending you to L.A., right?
    Kawhi: Yeah
LeBron: Too bad. Gotta be true to yourself, right? Aight, peace. Gotta run.
    Kawhi: Peace out.

Kawhi: it, I wanna play in L.A. the Spurs, they don’t respect me. They wanna nickel-and-dime me. If I’m gonna take less, I’ma play where I want.

I dont consider Tobias + picks better than a package with Ingram/Kuzma/Picks. Maybe Portland or Min? Hopefully Suns though with all the assets they have.

I mean...I have a hard time believe a guy with "shatz" in his name, but it's definitely a good sign if there is any whiff of truth to this. A bidding war will only drive up the return the Spurs can get, so the more the merrier.

Right. Four rings, and 17 years with one franchise. What a turrible fate.

The longer this goes on the more I think the Spurs and Kawhi will come to an agreement on him playing for the Spurs.

Apparently he mentioned KD to GS before he went, take it with a grain of salt, all these dudes are just trying to be TMZ twitter famous.

Maybe the Lakers haven't made that offer yet. , maybe the Clippers are the only West team that has made an offer at all, so they could be leading by default. Not that the Spurs would take it.

Hating on him. Or did TP just answer a DIRECT question about his injury compared to Kawhis.

the question wasn't "tony, was your quad injury 100 times worse than kawhi's?" nor was it "can you compare your injury to kawhi's?" like you just implied

the question was: "what’s the general message you guys have for kawhi?"

Agreed. Kawhi is allowed to feel slighted by Parker's comments, but reacting like this is just weak minded .

Also, Jalen Rose called that Kawhi wanted out of San Antonio and had his sights set on L.A. well before Pop and Parker's comments or the players only meeting. At the time it was quickly dismissed but...well, here we are, so it's hard to believe that Jalen didn't really have his finger on the pulse.

Kawhi is just using those as an excuse to paint the Spurs as the bad guy here.
Yeah Jalen reported Leonard wanted out back in January.

In a surprise twist it was the Spurs who had the better offer, as he was already under contract. Mind. Blown.

Yeah...This is exactly what Parker did =>blue font.

He could say "every body reacts different, we support him and wish him a fully recovery"...Being polite in front media isn't that hard. Like Patty, today.

No one forced TP to say what he said, he opted to question a teammate injury, he had other options. Smarter options.

There was a report about what the baseline for either team they would be willing continuing the talks, and it was around Ingram/Kuzma + picks. Who knows if that report is even accurate. If the Lakers are shopping Ball for a pick they believe thats what it takes to get the deal. They wouldn't just trade him away otherwise. We can be pretty skeptical of any reports coming out right now.
