I do not understand all the Oberto hate. Dude is the most capable C we've had to plug in next to Tim since David. Now, I am certainly not suggesting he's anywhere close to the caliber of player as David...but we're never gonna find that. David is a HOF center. All we need a C is someone who plays defense, can knock down a few shots, and man the paint. And Oberto has proven more effective than anyone else at doing that since Robinson retired. Thomas also showed himself to be capable, but we only saw him for half a season, so I'm waiting to see how a whole season plays out with him, although I am very optimistic it will be positive.

I certainly don't think Joe freaking Pryzbilla is gonna do any better. Oy.

I think the more humorous thing about all the trade posts (like the after Pargo signs and trade for Noc posts and ones like this) is that people are assuming teams would WANT Vaughn, Oberto and Bonner.

Take this with the ultimate grain of salt but there is a rumor I heard from a friend who is connected pretty well and I kinda believe him but not yet convinced. to get things going faster there is supposedly a 3 team trade being discussed heavily under closed doors and some how my friend leaked it to me but I will be kind enough to share. ( I just hope this doesn't get leaked to much.)

The details of the trade looks like this from what I was told.

Spurs trading Oberto/Bonner/ Bown

Spurs getting Joel Przybilla/ #2 pick via Portland / Desmond Mason

Portland trading Przybilla/#2 pick for Oberto/Charlie Villanueva/Matt Bonner

Bucks trading Charlie Villanueva/ Bucks getting Ike Diogu / Bruce Bowen

Don't take this seriously cause it's unsubstantial at this point.

The line-up will look like this..

PF: Tim Duncan
SF: Desmond Mason
SG: Manu Ginobili
PG: Tony Parker
