Gawd yea! And it's just because she's the new kid in town, no one really knows her, she can pretty much be whatever she wants. Everybody already knows Biden. And not everyone has forgotten how condescending he came across in the ClarenceThomas/ Anita Hill scandal. I think many people will be waiting with baited breath for him to be the same way with Palin. He's got to be real careful.

Yeah thats what I'm starting to think too. Hillary would have been freakin perfect for this scenario. But whose to say that McCain would had picked Palin if Hillary was Obama's running mate....

Using scripture as a defense and grounding of a moral compass is a far cry from justifying a war as God's will.

You want to talk about arrogance? Who the is Sarah Palin pretending to know what God's will is?

Gods will is not to kill and provoke violence. So she is dead wrong.

Is this what's important to you? Debating whether it looks like a greek temple or not?

The Rev. Wright reference is fair game. But you are so caught up in all these other silly issues that you are missing the big picture.

Palin thinks war is justified by religion. That is the same kind of flawed logic that terrorists use. It speaks to her judgment and her world view.

Obama has close ties to a preacher with radical views, yet NEVER has agreed with him when it comes to his assessment of American government. His association with Rev. Wright is de able, but understandable as a close family friend. I don't agree with most of the things my friends say, but I'm not going to abandon them after many years of friendship.

There is no excuse for Palin's remarks.

speaking in front of greek columns is a bad, bad thing.

Thank god the GOP learned from this and decided to go with the giant tv screen instead. No Orwellian connotations there.

That's debateable. A long annoying debate, but it's debateable.

And no I don't want to.

no it's not what's important, but you call her saying it's God's will being fanatical and i say all the production being fanatical.
The Rev. Wright reference is fair game. But you are so caught up in all these other silly issues that you are missing the big picture.
i'm not caught up in "silly issues" you called it one thing and i responded the same from what i see on your side of the fence. nothing more. nothing less.

are you willing to he and invite your friends to a church of someone you don't agree with their views? that's normally what driven people, like i'm assuming the obama's are, do if they attend a church. and just answer yes or no. i don't care if you go to church or not or even if you believe in God or not.

Why do some of you think that Palin believes the war in Iraq is "God's will?" She never said that in her speech last night.

Biden is going to kill her

Did everyone forget she was speaking in front of a teleprompter last night? She knows nothing. Look at her speech again. You could tell there were segments where she had no clue what she was talking about and she was just reading words, especially when foreign issues came up. She was doing double-takes at the teleprompter. Biden knows his period...teleprompter or no teleprompter. He can be condescending all he wants if she starts going with the one-liners. She opened the door for him last night. You think anyone is going to feel sorry for her after that speech she gave last night?

Is this the same biden that said they were going to prosecute Bush if elected and then said, where do people get that idea. Or

Said he does not talk to lobbyist, his son, or special interest groups, but his aides do.

Is that the Biden you are referring to....

    What....the.... ?

What does any of the above have to do with the issues on this country...foreign and domestic? It's obvious Palin knows NOTHING. That was demonstrated to me watching her speak last night. She basically gave the same speech that Bush has given the last 5+ years...nothing of substance whatsoever. She won't have a teleprompter in front of her when the debates are going on. Biden needs no teleprompter. I've watched this guy absolutely crush people on C-SPAN throughout the years. She's going to get killed.

all that including a podium that lifted from the ground when he approached it.
Firstly, American government has visually and symbolically tied itself to ancient Greece since its inception. That's why we have Republicans and Democrats, why the White House and Capital Building are built in the Greek Revival style, why we have a Senate, etc.

Secondly, I may be supporting Obama in this election, but even I don't think he was out there with a hammer and nail building the set himself.

I find it amusing that you can attack Obama for egotism and arrogance without extending that same logic to acknowledge that he likely has countless assistants to handle his personal embroidery and set design. Do you really think he was even tangentially involved in the decision making process for more than 10% of the evidence you're using to support these claims of arrogance? Really?

I know -- what's wrong with a bunch of faux columns? It's a pretty weak talking point.

BTW, as an undecided, Palin gave me nothing of substance last night.

It doesn't matter as I'm more interested in what John has to say.

    Alright. agree to disagree.
These are differences of opinion, not fact. I can respect that.

you wont see my ass in a place where some extremist is spewing out his garbage for more than 20 minutes are you willing to he and invite your friends to a church of someone you don't agree with their views? that's normally what driven people, like i'm assuming the obama's are, do if they attend a church. and just answer yes or no. i don't care if you go to church or not or even if you believe in God or not.
also for alot of obamessiah's actions

I've been in mass plenty of times where I disagree with what is being said. And I still give money to the Catholic church because I believe that their ministries for the whole are good. And I plan to baptism my child and send him to Catholic school. But do I think women should be priests? Yes. Do I believe that gays go to ? No. I've sat through lots of sermons about both of those topics, and disagreed.

Just so you know, not every Obama supporter is a blind sheep who is hanging on his every word for guidance. I think he is the better option for the country for myriad reasons, and I can accept his imperfections because of what I believe he will pursue politically if in office. I don't know if he will be able to meet a significant fraction of his stated goals, but I know I won't be disappointed for lack of effort.
