I will give you that much.Duncan, thou is worked like a mule hasnt declined like some would think . But the thought of Amare next to Timmy would turn Amare and the complete team into a defensive minded machine instantly. I could see the Drob/Tim commercial with the daisys and the gnomes. They would take KG and Perkins/Gasol and Bynum to the bank easily.
Marion seems to be on the block and they got an offer straight up for Marbury so I'm guessing there aren't a ton of takers... he would really help us in shoring up big defense and scoring... without giving up anything big what would Miami want from us?
Your not getting a player like Marion without giving up anything big.
Not really. Hill can take over as the starting sg and he has the ability to improve into a star caliber player. Camby is a quality center who can provide defense, rebounds, block shots and bring some offense. The problem with him, he is often injured. But the same can be said of Manu lately.
The spurs won't win without getting a quality big who can help duncan on the inside and Camby would be a good fit.
Hill has shown he has enough natural tools to develope into a top sg given the opportunity. With manu, Hill's development will be stunted and it will take longer. Hill is good enough to just throw out there now and let him develope confidence in his game where by the end of the season he is performing at a top level consistently.
Preferably the spurs could add Bonner or vaughn and get a better upgrade in a two for two trade but Manu for Camby would improve the spurs.
Hill and mason would cover the 2 guard spot. Hill could also move over and play the 1 at times.
Duncan and Amare would be unstoppable. Amare is one of the best offensive players in the league. Forget about his dunking -- he is money from 18 feet. He does have a low defensive awareness, but I'm sure Tim could help him.
Those guys either have no IQ or ability or neither. If you are thinking of a King's big man who is disgruntled and who may not be hard to pry away from a struggling franchise, I would suggest looking past Mikki Moore to BRAD MILLER. The guy can defend, shoot, pass and is an aggressive guy who will bring a little more fire to the frontcourt than the walking dead duo of Fab and Kurt. Seriously, Brad Miller would be great in Silver and Black. You think the FO is smart enough to see it? Me either.
