I would switch Manu with Parker.
... I'm as happy with our 'Small Fab Four' group as any, but I also think we need another big. Now most of you are focusing on Camby and Kaman as the only possible trade candidates. I think I have a very very very dark horse which we have a 20% chance of trading for... Amare Stoudemire. He has already stated several times he is not happy in Phoenix because of Shaquille O'neal, and he doesn't like Porter's system.
Offering Parker is too much, plus they arleady have Nash, Hill and Mason are two young and inexperienced... they need to win now or not win at all.
So my offer as much as it hurts me would be Manu, Mahinmi, and Oberto (for cap reasons)... plus if they want a couple of 2nd rounders.
Would that get it done? Would you do it?
Our team:
Parker Hill
Mason Idoka
Finley Bowen
Duncan Bonner
Amare KT
I like this because it guarantees that we will have a good team beyond Ducan's retirement if we resign Mason and Amare in 2010... also it gives us an edge in resigning two good players and not having to fight everyone else for them.
Thoughts?
I would switch Manu with Parker.
Blasphemy.
Please.....
20%? Did you do a quick number crunch to get that number or is that according to a reliable source? It cracks me up that you actually made up a % probability that your fake trade would work.
LEEROOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEnKIIIIIIIIIINS!!!!!
I don't agree with this, but just to give it some thought:

DAMMIT LEROY!!!!
I've never liked Amare as a player-- yes, he can score, but his mental mistakes are endless and his game is the exact opposite of what I watch and admire the Spurs for... intelligent team play. Come 2010, I'm hoping first for Bosh, then for Dirk, and after that, I'd rather see the Spurs get two good role players rather than Amare. To me, Amare is the main reason the Spurs have been able to beat the Suns in so many playoff series. He doesn't play D at all, he commits stupid fouls, and generally is a brawn over brains type of player.
I have a very, very blue horse which we have a 33.3% chance to trade for Dwight Howard for Rip Hamilton, Amir Johnson, and Kwame Brown.
My blue horse and your dark horse, sitting by the fire.
Phoenix would not do that trade.
forget the fact that then you would have to replace Manu...
But Amare's pissed because he is not option 1A in PHX, you think he's going to react better to taking the backseat to Duncan? (and he WOULD take the backseat to Duncan)
I would say its more like a -20% chance...
the spurs wouldn't want amare and he wouldn't come here.
he's "me" first, the spurs are team first.
he plays no D, the spurs play D
he's all hype, the spurs are boring (or classy, as you want)
really don't see how it can happen, not to talk about the financial aspect.
I'm amazed Spurs fan still thinks the Spurs would take in such players.
OK dudes sorry for suggesting it... lay off a little![]()
Ginobili only for Bosh and that's it and that won't happen
Manu and Parker are staying in SA. Talk of trading them is a punishable offense. You will surely meet death.
Haywood would make a decent center I think
As much as I'd hate to see Manu ever leave the Spurs, I'd love to see the reaction of Suns fans to their team acquiring him.![]()
haywood, blatche, or mikki moore......
good serviceable big men on the cheap....
then they can have 3 stooges on there team who is the best flopper of all time
nash, raja, gino
Why would you even do this when you got the number 3 pick in both the 2009 and 2010 drafts.
