of those manu vids, only the first is a flop. the 2nd there is no flop as raja bell grabbed his arm when manu jumped and the 3rd is a highlight vid of manu making driving layups and some loser walking into parked vehicles.

for this amazing flopper rep manu has, + 7 years of NBA basketball with deep playoff runs every year, he has all of one flop on video tape.

meanwhile, in three years chris paul has already done things manu never has, like flop in a dead ball situation:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eH71jI_DNU

and at least manu exaggerates contact, versus inventing it like chris did here
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZNwSC_6H90

ps, i havent seen the hornets this season, has CP3 learned to keep his dribble without using his off arm?

Yea darn that Chris Paul making Bruce Bowen kick him while he was on the floor. What a dirty play by Paul!

That being said I never said Chris Paul wasn't a on the court. The man get's compared to Isiah Thomas a lot and we all know what a swell guy Isiah was I get where the hate is coming from, if he wasn't on the team I cheer for I'd hate his ass too!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't he more or less purposefully put his groin in Bowen's face?

I don't remember it exactly either and all of the sudden youtube is blocked here at work (the "surf control" was down earlier today which meant YOUTUBE for one an all!!! However someone seems to have found the fix for that)but here is true hoop account of it:

    http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/...uce-Bowen.html

"Here's what I saw: One of the gems of the NBA, young Chris Paul -- tiniest of MVP candidates -- heads to the floor to gather up a loose ball. In the ensuing struggle, all kinds of thing happen. But if I'm not mistaken, the most noteworthy of them was not one but two kicks from the foot of Bowen to the upper torso (getting awfully close to the head) of Paul.

Bowen meanwhile actually had the nerve to try the old "but referee, my hands are straight up in the air, how could I have committed a foul?" routine.

    And it worked."

Also I think Andrea Kirilinko has stolen the crown as biggest flopper in the league.

    That guys good.
Nah AK-47 is just so awkward he has trouble standing up. Anderson Varejau is the most notorious flopper, fo' sho'. Robert Horry was a fantastic flopper.

look at the 2nd youtube link i posted a couple posts back (if you can embed it while youre at it, i thank you)

from that angle you can see very clearly that bowen pulled back an inch or two from paul's face, but paul threw his head back and his hands up for dramatic effect.

also, who is in a controlled, normal basketball position- bowen standing on his two feet reaching down for the ball, or paul on his back flailing and flopping like a fish?

    paul flopped, period.

Manu flops, there's no question about it. As a matter of fact, most everyone does (including Kobe, Lebron, Pierce, TD, etc). My problem with the CP3 flops is that IF he doesn't get the call, he starts jawing to everybody like a little . Zebras, players, everyone. Most of the other players might say a thing or two to the zebras and move on, but this guy keeps on jawing about it.
Another annoying thing he does is talk when he gets called for somebody else's flop. Like last night, when Fisher flopped on him, instead of arguing with the zebras, he went straight to Fish to talk to him.
He just has this sense of en lement that I really don't know where he got from...

He suffers from little man's complex which is very annoying. I don't buy into this compe iveness crap people spin to give him a pass. The only way to stop his crazy behavior is for someone to knock the out of him. Unfortunately that won't happen in todays NBA it would have happened in the 80's or 90's but not now. I would love to see someone pull a PJ Brown on him. I think that alone would s shock him.

    Sure a lot of ing going on these days... Kg is a , Amare is a , CP3 is a , Pierce is a , ...

What I find even more disturbing is this trend of Spurs and Lakers fans getting along. Should I join in and bring the KY?
It's a fraternity born of respect for fellow championship winners... Sorry, you're not allowed!

Kobe does his share of ing about ticky tack calls no doubt... but there is no way you can classify him as a flopper.

I wouldn't call him a major flopper, but he definitely does flop. Just last night when he made those 3 treys in a row, he was twisting legs in mid-air calling for a phantom foul on basically all 3 shots. It's like TD pulling up his arms whenever somebody slaps the ball cleanly from him.
My point stands though. Unlike CP3, they play through it.

Chris Paul is a complete punk. I put him below even Jason Terry. In Fact, I put Paul in the same class with that POS s bag, John Stockton.

Does anyone remember that 360 degree flop Chris Paul did in the playoffs last year after a Spur player walked by him? I'm pretty sure it was during a dead ball too. That pissed me off.

No one said he was standing up to him. Everyone said that it looked like he told him to calm the down. That is not threatening, it would seem to me to be the polar opposite of threatening. I think that you should pray he stops the flopping for two reasons. One, if you look at that superior flop in the animated gif above, you see that if he continues to do that he will likely injure himself (karma is a and he does trash talk a lot). Secondly, if he continues his acting and talking, you know KG is going to try to punk his ass since he is substantially shorter than KG, and you know KG has a rep with smaller guys. As to the flopping comment, I dare you to find a clip of manu or tony (who I dont really think has a rep for flopping) that is as egregious an example of flopping as the one above.
