Jury still out on the Celtics the playoffs will tell. You may think they are a fluke but they are still the Champs until someone knocks them off.

Whoever said this game has no bearing on the playoffs is correct.

Boston plays in the East, Los Angeles plays in the West.

Cleveland will represent the East, Los Angeles will represent the West.

Kobe v Lebron debates will be put to a rest after this years Finals when All the King's Men win in 6 games.

Both these games went to the wire. Any series between Boston and LA is going 6-7 games.

By that logic any series between the Mavs and Lakers would go 6-7 games

How on earth can you say Bynum would not have made an effect?

That's complete and utter bull .

Bynum is absolutely vital to the Lakers being able to play decent defense. Tonight they had almost no shotblocking at the rim, Rondo/Pierce/Allen just attacked at will with no resistance. They certainly weren't doing that on X-mas day when Bynum was playing. And Leon Powe wasn't grabbing boards like that either.

Bynum makes a humongous difference to what the Lakers can do defensively.

AND if Bynum is back it could go shorter in the Lakers favor still

Bynum obviously makes a difference..but the FACT is, Bynum is a walking injury..he's an injury risk any time he steps on the court..he's already had 3 major injuries since High School, and he's still a young guy..

    So what?

You can't just remove a player out of the equation because he's injury prone. That's not sound logic.

Atleast we know that without him we can still possibly win a Championship...He almost makes it a lock tho. But only if he's ballin close to 80% of what he was showing

I've seen all the evidence I need to see that the 2008-2009 Lakers are better than the 2008-2009 Celtics.

Now the only thing I'm uncertain of is whether the Lakers are better than the Cavs.
The Lakers WITHOUT Bynum would have a tough time beating the Cavs 4 times. The Lakers WITH Bynum will beat them.

The Lakers will gain a lot of confidence after this win... they played good defense, and despite terrible free throw shooting came up with a win. I was also nice to see Odom come back after a bad start. The Celtics tried to play the 'toughness' card, but this time the Lakers responded and didn't back down.. great win, Cleveland's next.

I will be more impressed if the Lakers break the Cav's home record.

I guess Sundays Cavs Lakers game has no suspense since it's a foregone conclusion that both Lebron and Kobe will get Player of the Week honors for their respective conferences.
