    Tims resume is falling ...
No. It's not. Not making any All-NBA Team would be falling. For Duncan, making the Third Team would be falling. He was second last year, he's second this year. He didn't fall. It's okay.

Duncan didn't deserve 1st team over Dirk...you guys are arguing that Timmy is the better player, which he clearly is, but that isn't what the accolade is based on..

Duncan had an average 2nd half of the season by his standards, obviously due to the injuries..

    why ?

in 08: 3rd and 4th scorers weren't on the first all nba team
    in 07: 2nd, 3rd and 4th leading scorers weren't
    in 06: 3rd and 4th
    in 05: 2nd and 4th

4th leading scorer is far from automatically giving a first team selection.

in 04, even the leading scorer, T-Mac, wasn't in the first team.
Good points. Allow me to amend: He was 4th in the league in scoring and had very good numbers in all other categories. After watching his playoff performance, I can't say there's any reason to disagree with the pick.

Actually I thought Manu was comparing it to that useless 6th MOY trophy he was awarded last year. I know he wasn't that happy about it. Manu didn't even seem that happy to be on the 3rd team.
You're mistaken, Manu said it was WAYYYY better than the sixth man award because it was voted by the coaches, and meant a lot more to him as far as recognition for his game/contributions to the team, etc.

I can't find it, or the quotes, but I remember there was an article right before around the 2nd round, and he commented it before one of the Playoff games, said it was a good confidence booster.

Whatever, congrats to TD and TP. You made Spurs one of the only two teams which has two players in the all nba team.

Sometimes I think it's just because he's Tim Duncan. Not discount what he has done at all, but it's pretty much a given that when talking about the best players in the league Duncan's gotta be in the mix.

As for Pau got 2 1st team vote...If he continues to play like this he would get to the 2nd team next season.
