Megan Wants A Millionaire
Actually, the entire genre of "Reality television" has jumped the shark.
Nip/Tuck. I loved the first season and the 2nd-but i think it was somewhere in the 3rd it just became ridiculous and they changed Christian Troys character and all this BS...stopped watching it....then i guess they tried moving them to LA-didn't watch so don't know how they went, but im sure it was ty
That Big Brother series. Pure trash.
I would disagree about the original Law and Order jumping the shark. The show has been procedural from start to finish. It's not like Criminal Intent or SVU. The original usually sticks to the cases and trials and rarely ever has episodes centered around the show's characters.
I like House but I think it jumped the shark when House got the new guys for his team. In my opinion, a show has a better chance of avoiding the jump if it doesn't peak too soon. If a show gets better in a somewhat slow pace, then it probably won't jump the shark until later on. Just look at all of the shows that are around 5 years old or younger and see how many of them have peaked and are just going downhill.
I don't think you can say Lost jumped the shark when it's been attempting to jump the shark almost from the get go. It's always been a weird show with its own mythology, only now the mythology is more entwined with the plot.
I like when ritchie tells the fonz, "if you get your legs cut off, don't come running to me"
I actually agree with that.

Fonzie was a man .
Rescue Me thru S4 is pretty good. Stop right there. Do not waste time on 5 & 6.
Previous jumpers
Soapranos steadily went downhill from 4 but the final season was a complete "jumped the shark".
Family Guy since it's return from cancellation. Peter is unwatchable (too stupid, too obnoxious, no redeeming qualities), Stewie's character has changed considerably (he's , we get it), and Meg being the butt of every joke is quite lame.
The worst thing is that Seth McFarlane keeps getting new, tier shows. I love Fox.
csi miami, carusso should appear on the bold and beautiful, everytime he puts on his glasses and looks out into the view and the camera closes up on him....fkn lame
any of u guys watch m*a*S*h reruns?
Weeds has totally jumped the shark, and Nurse Jackie as new as it is has already "jumped".
Weeds? GTFO
Yeah well that's mostly due to the fact that
As much as i hate ageeing with the guys that do southpark i enjoyed the family guy 2 parter, especially the part where the 2 guys are fighting and they go though the king of the hill set where it shows actual writers.
i stopped watching when McFarlane decided to use Brian as his own soapbox. Seriously in one episode he tries to convince Meg God doesn't exist and yet 2 weeks before he met Jesus
I think this thread has jumped the shark.![]()
Can you believe someone said LOST jumped the shark?
I completly agree. The first two seasons of Nip/Tuck (esp season one) were the best. My favorite show on TV. Then season 3 was crap, with the storyline revolving around Mic e, a very boring charecter . And the midget sex became ridiculous. Julia had sex with a midget and Sean got a bj from a midget. wtf? I didn't have cable by the time season 4 rolled around.
Monday Night Football analysis crew jumped the shark twice. When the put Dennis Miller and then Tony Kornheiser on TV.
and LOST. wait, wtf am I talking about. LOST is f'ing awesome.
If LOST ever did jump the shark it was during the writers strike, but personally I don't think it has. That show kicks balls.![]()
The O.C after season 2. What a horrible 3rd season and an even worse 4th season.
Lost is a GREAT show still. They just mind you to death in that 5th season.
Heroes- Basically throwing what made some characters what they were (their powers) out the window.
Prison Break- Well I loved the 1st season, then it just became a giant conspiracy kind of show and I never could get myself back into it
Pro wrestling in general- Too many bland steroid fueled muscle-heads who talk like they're just hitting puberty. What made me a fan of wrestling was the over the top personalities like warrior/macho man and then they'd just add to that with the crazy matches. Now it's terrible, just terrible.
