I only feel sorry for Duncan, the FO didn't really even try to surround him with legit talent until finally this year, but they were inexperienced at this new concept and perhaps didn't do to well at it, though it's a little early to totally give upon on RJ and McDyess
thanks base
Because whether you are satisfied or not has nothing to do with whether or not you are going to get it. Because you aren't going to get it every year. Because even if they do everything in their power to get it, they still usually aren't. And because no one forces you to give them money.
You can feel en led to unreasonable expecations all you want, I'll just let you in on the fact that you are in for a long hard road that is going to end in disappointment more often than not.
It's an unreasonable expectation and do you personally like listening to people whine and ? I'm guessing no, and guess what? Most people are no different.
The Spurs are not going to win a le every year, no matter how many tantrums you throw, so you might as well shut up about it and stop expecting it.
I beg your pardon, you're the fairweather fan...that's what a fan who turns on his team and kicks them when they are down rationalizing his character flaw based on his unreasonable expectations is. That is the very definition of it.Take that to the Clippers or Memphis.
Furthermore, this team has already had one of the most successful runs in NBA history. The only teams with more les are the Celtics, Lakers and Bulls. Imagine what it must be like for all those fans of teams who have never won , that still support their teams.
Me personally...I was satisfied for pretty much a lifetime after 2003. Sure I want to see them win, at the same time, this particular core deserves absolutely nothing but respect. If they never win another game for the rest of their careers, they've already been better than any core we are likely to ever have again, and all about 3 other cores in NBA history.
You want to treat them like garbage now that they are no longe the best? You are the one that is weak.
Only 4 times in the 30+ years have the Spurs lived up to that extremely rare achievement you have convinced yourself you are en led too...and that's one of the best marks in NBA history. It will still be if they don't win another le for 30 years.
Ingrate.

Congrats to you on identifying yourself as a bandwagoning, fair-weather fan. Most people so fickle are more cir spect in letting everyone see how shallow they are. There are plenty of fans who can't be bothered to support their team when it's down, very few will so openly admit it.![]()
Dude, the best Spurs teams were the ones where we didn't get what we wanted. I mean the seasons we have gotten our first choices are usually the ones that have ended in disappointment and the one where we didn't were the ones that usually produced a le.
I've been saying it for years, the worst offseasons are the ones where Pop gets exactly what he wants. His second and third choices were always better than his first.
It's not about money and this offseason proves it. It's about getting the right players and it's just not that easy to do.
I hope so but its not looking good
I wonder if Duncan thought he would still have to put in this work at this point of the season..it's actually ridiculous, how the are his knees supposed to hold up when he has to carry this team every night?..
Yep, I fell bad for him; this regular season was supposed to be for TD to rest but he needs to carry the team since RJ, TP and Manu SUCKS so far
Let's get this done:

I know. It's easy to look at his minutes (roughly 32 mpg), but look at how arduous many of those minutes are. There's nothing easy about them. He's singlehandedly having to guard the paint, is often the lone rebounder on the court and is having to fight for deep post position and score tough baskets against erstwhile post defenders on nearly every possession and all that just to keep the team compe ive. At this rate, he's going to wear down by mid-season again.
Either this team goes and finds a legit starting big (not some old 6'9'' backup) to put next to him, or they can not only forget about winning the championship, but they can forget about having a relatively fresh Duncan for the playoffs or doing any damage whatsoever. Assuming they get there, what's there upside at this point? Winning a round?
Something needs to be done, the it's only "December" is BS. I wish I had the answer though. Trading for another guy could only make matters worse.
nothing came up
Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxactly...!!!
