Add Mcdyess to that list for me, I'm sure he wasn't expecting this.
Tim Duncan and Peter Holt.
Especially Peter Holt.
Add Mcdyess to that list for me, I'm sure he wasn't expecting this.
Well we were kinda expecting more from him too.
Well, if he'd pick up the slack instead of putting up constant 20 + minute nights with 3 points and 2 boards, I'd feel sorry for him.
He's new and learning, but lately he's turning into a glorified Kurt Thomas.
Trade Parker or Gino and avoid taxes, cause this isn`t going the it should
It's awfully pathetic that the FO couldn't bring in ONE decent big to play next to Duncan since Robinson's retired. Garnett has Perkins, Gasol has Bynum, and Duncan has over-the-hill Dice, a one-dimensional stiff in Bonner, and an undersized rookie. Too bad they ed up on Scola and Splitter.
I don't feel sorry for Holt at all. I know he's one of the least rich owners in the NBA, but if not for his being "frugal" throughout the entire Duncan-era, you could easily make the argument that this franchise would have even more hardware. How nice of him that he finally decided to pony up when it's towards the end of the Duncan-era and he does so without the team filling their biggest need, which was a center-sized in his prime athletic big to pair with Duncan. The front line still isn't good enough and Jefferson looks to be a surprisingly awful fit.
Duncan, I do feel (within' reason; let's not forget how much money he's made or how much success he's had, not that he didn't earn it) sorry for. Still the only player on the team who brings it every night, yet you always hear people talk about Ginobili's intensity and compe iveness. He can't hold a candle to Duncan, who plays alone in the paint most nights, plays significantly more minutes and competes his ass off.
Uhhh....Where is this Center you speak off?
The FO ed up the ending for Duncan.
Thanks a ing LOT!
The FO bring the players. They need to play better
I feel sorry for me.....I gotta cheer this ty team on.
I feel sorry for Eva Longoria.
In addition, Duncan's a year older and has logged twice as many games in his NBA career. He's the real warrior on the team.
I don't want to blame Manu though. It's not his fault that he has a fragile body.
Definitly, Timmy is showing up every night to play and getting almost no support.
And Holt, after years of ignoring the lux tax, he takes a chance, and so far no good. Let's hope it turns around by '10!
Not on this team, that's for sure. I realize that the type of player I described doesn't grow on trees, but with their willingness to spend (a rarity in this league in this economic climate) and their cadre of expiring contracts, surely this team could have acquired someone like Kaman or Camby. Neither is necessarily what I had in mind, but they're both center-sized, starting caliber big men who can rebound, block shots and in the case of Kaman, score.
This thread is pathetic. 17 games in and all the bandwagoners are jumping off. Just don't return when they turn it around.
Dice put up 10/10 last year and he's moving fine. There's no reason he shouldn't be helping the team more except that he doesn't get his role in the system yet.
Yeah, pity about Scola (Splitter will arrive next year).
Insightful.
The Scola move still pisses me off, especially after seeing how much effort he puts in for the Rockets night after night(wish we got that kind of passion from Rasho, Nazr, Thomas, or Bonner).
Knowing our FO, Splitter probably stays in Europe and we end up signing another old vet like Camby.
Tim Duncan feels the worst now. Peter Holt's hangover will make him feel the worst tomorrow.
Truer words were never spoken.![]()
Will Duncan have enough in the tank by playoffs...
Or the knees... I'm asking the same question every game. But what other option do we have right now?
I feel sorry for the people that are posting in this thread.
I feel bad for Tony Parker.
And Sequ
