For the kinda jack he's getting paid he'd better be hard core serious.
just blame this on Tony, like Tim's 5-22 had nothing to do with the loss?
Tony played like , Duncan played like , Bowen played like , Pop coached like , the bench didn't show up.
Duncan's the star on this team, if he's too hurt to carry the team, he needs to pass up the shots to his open team mates. It's so funny how everyone in this forum blames everyone but Duncan. Everyone on this team is accountable no one gets a free ride hurt or not, everyone needs to nut up.
Stop with the babying of Duncan....

Holy , that is the biggest pile of apologist I've ever read. Do you wear an Eva mask and sleep with his picture?
Holy ...you guys are ing patheric...Andre Miller has an out of his mind career game and Tony has a mediocre game and you guys spend 3 pages dumping on him for having a girlfriend...I just don't get it...
After the Spurs have a blowout win tonight are you guys gonna sack up and come in here and admit you panicked like a bunch of little schoolgirls with a mouse in the room?
I don't think anyone is exactly "blaming it" on his girlfriend. But a lot of people see a non-chalant, unfocused at ude coming into the game is what got Tony in trouble in Game 1.
Tony Parker certainly didn't arrive at the SBC center with his game face on, and his play reflected that (6/17 5 TO). People are going to notice. The 2 time NBA champion and the hall of famer noticed it and pointed it out, why shouldn't anyone else?
I agree that everyone is panicking, and I agree that people forget that Andre Miller won't average 30 points for the whole series, but Parker deserves to have a little criticism thrown his way. He really does have something to prove. Everybody will be happy to drop it if he shows up for the rest of the playoffs.
Sorry Kori but I still call bull on that one. How was he nonchalant? He gave his girlfriend who was visiting from out of town a ride to the game? He wore sunglasses? So Barkley and Kenny from thousands of miles away can make a judgement about what Tony was thinking and these guys throw it back like a bunch of trained parrots?
All Parker had to do was not crumble in the playoffs - again - and nobody would have mentioned it.
I get it now. Maybe tonight he should go Artest in the tunnel and trash a TV camera. That will show them he is serious...![]()
I don't have a bit of problem with criticism of Parkers play last night...Duncans too for that matter...they both have played much better...I DO have a problem with guys calling his girlfriend a and blaming it on her...but Parker deserves to have a little criticism thrown his way.
CC, I didn't say I agreed with it, I said that's what a lot of people see as non-chalant and unfocused. He wore the same sunglasses last season, so I'm not complaining about that.
BTW, I think Eva has a car here when she's in town. So I think she could have made it to the game without him. Most players don't arrive to the game with their family in the postseason. They arrive very early to the arena with their focus at hand. That's what people are complaining about.
What about wearing a 2003 Championship t-shirt?
Is that just stupid or what? First, it was 2 years ago and just reminds people Tony is one of the reasons we don't have another Banner.
Second, isn't there an unwritten rule that you don't wear a Champion t-shirt unless you are the current champion?
No. He needs to NOT CRUMBLE IN A BIG PLAYOFF GAME. That's all. Nobody will say anything if he scores 5 points and plays as hard as he can. What he does is disappears. The reaction of most Spurs fans is out of embarassment for him, and the onus is on him to prove the perception wrong. All he has to do is give effort.
women make for weak legs
Women do give you weak knees. And it does not help that she is their at the games especially sitting next to Tony's brother. Tony was not focused and it might of cost them the game. Tony needs to go out and play hard and like a winner.
I saw nothing wrong with the footage. TNT just aired the 'walk-in' for it's own advantage.
Don't listen to Chucky... bad for your health.
You've never seen Rocky.
Just kidding. I don't believe it affects your game.
Damn right I do!
This might be the worst take ever.
He's 23 so he doesn't have to be that serious.
Great.
LeBron looks pretty damn serious when he plays.
Of course, look where LeBron is now.
Yes, Tony is the PG, he makes the offense work. But just like to can't blame this loss solely on Pop, you can't pin it all on Tony either (even as bad as he played).
Fact is, NOBODY could make a shot in the 4th. Period. And we had a lead going into halftime that slipped away when we pulled Tony out. Tony stays in = WIN?
Not saying Tony doesn't need to improve in Game 2 (and I'm confident he will), just saying he's not the ONLY reason we lost.
"Exactly right.
Once again TIMVP living in the past with his no sjump shot abrasive weed former point guard.
Ive said it before the kid is still a kid. Hes gonna be like this sometimes.
And I would say to Kenny and Charles, were you hard core serious at TWENTY THREE for a game??
no.
Everyone get the off his back."
Tpark, come on. Really, just come on.
You have to do better than that. He's been in the league 4 years now. When he's 25, are you going to be saying he's 25, he's still just a kid. 15 year olds have more intensity at CYO games.

"stephanie is a female first name...lol read again its stephane Mr red CryTonight
You can just think whatever you want about TP, but don'ts start with the french thing and over confidence... I could just take 1 american dumbass (it exists no? ) and say oh he's a dumbass, it must be his US heritage...
I would make a 40page thread so dont do the same..."

"Andre Miller had an out of body experience last night. His game of a lifetime. Enjoy it while you can. You boy was a whoppping 6-39 beyond the arc all season. Please take more threes Wednesday Andre..."
What is more likely: Andre MIller had an out of body experience and the game of a lifetime or Parker didn't come to play?
Hmmmm...once a lifetime or once a month.

You get it because you think by wanting Parker to be focused, this means he should break a tv camera? Uhm, doesn't sound like you get it.
I know I wasn't blaming it on Goria. She got included because she was with him strolling into the playoff game. I blame that on Tony. And you might be the only on earth who doesn't know what's going on there. Goria is the definition of the phrase "flavor of the month." I'd say she's a garden utensil, but that would make her look useful.

"After the Spurs have a blowout win tonight are you guys gonna sack up and come in here and admit you panicked like a bunch of little schoolgirls with a mouse in the room?"
I didn't panick. I actually stick with the Spurs in 6. I was disgusted with Tony's lackadaisical look.

You don't have to be in hallway to see what's going on, boy. It's kinda like when the Spurs games are on TV and I watch them. I still see what's happening, but I'm not there. It's like magic.
Oh oh I wore my champ.t-shirt for game one thats why they lost it was because of the shirt,no more champs shirt to any SPURS game anymore
uhhhh....have you ever WATCHED Andre Miller? He is known for his steals, assists, and turnovers...he is NOT a go to scorer...he is normally an AWFUL shooter....the guy literally had a career night Sunday...What is more likely: Andre MIller had an out of body experience and the game of a lifetime or Parker didn't come to play?
Hmmmm...once a lifetime or once a month.
It's called sarcasm bozo...read with comprehension of the context of the statement...You get it because you think by wanting Parker to be focused, this means he should break a tv camera? Uhm, doesn't sound like you get it.
