Parker was humiliated by Andre Miller.

Charles Barkley and Kenny were right, he definitely didn't look focused.

He was with his flavor of the month girlfriend and his reflective shades looking real cool.

It must be his French heritage to get all overconfident and think he's got everything down and then get his ass beat.

Tony Parker deserves a lot of criticism...not because he played bad, but because he had 0 intensity.

You're not going to outcool other teams in the playoffs.

They don't care what tv show your girlfriend is on or how you both wear spurs tshirts.

Thanks a lot, Tony. Looks like you choose Goria over your team.

I would rather have had Mike Wilks in the game trying and you sitting in the stands with Eva wearing a beret and shaking your pom poms.

I would still have intense relations with Eva Longoria, then take digital pictures with my digital camera. Then post them on the internet by transferring the pictures from my digital camera to my computer from 1996. I'm not sure if thats possible yet cuz my computer is so old.

I saw a still picture of him and Eva. That was before the game? TP walking in with Eva like he was some type of rock star?

Man, if true, F that. He doesn't want to win. Your point guard has to be a player who lives and dies about winning. It can't be a player who wants his face on television.

    Parker got owned.

    And rightfully so.

Spurs need a point guard who cares about winning.

Someone must tell Tony that women are not worth it. (They are ruining the world)
The game is far more important.

Get down to biseness Tony. It's playoff not offseason.
And I hope you do not want a offseason.
    Time to earn tye contract.

    That's all

yea i got pissed at that too. sometimes he looks like he dont care about winning. when he travelled on a WIDE OPEN layup when he could have given naz the ball for the throwdown he was smiling. i know he did it out of exasperation but i dont want anyone on my team to be smiling for that, especially in a close game. I never been this mad at a loss for the whole season. i almost broke the damn tv. sometimes i think we lack mental toughness. we let other teams muscle us around too much and let them make us do stupid shyt. what the was beno doing? brent is a better point guard than him. the game was lost with that run at the end of the second. if we maintained out 9 point lead we would have been ok. someone needs to tell tony its the away games he usually chokes in. no the friggin home games in the first round. i wanted to pound him for missing a 3 ft jumper. and timmy needs to man up. he's letting them play him agressive and he isnt responding. he needs to go back to the old timmy that used to dunk on guys when they make him mad, not miss 0 tf hookshots. geez. and we need to incorperate big dog into the rotation. we aint gonna win with defense alone. im still mad about tony. its game time and he's coming in the f*cking place with a girl on his arm like he's brad pitt or bon jovi. i dont even wanna be around a girl when im watchin the game. he needs to start taking this shyt seriously or else i would want a trade for a pg who wants to win. if everyone on the team had as much heart as manu and naz, we wouldn't be in this shyt. nuggets must have had like 100 rebounds. i was so pissed the whole floor of my dorm came in to see what happened when i was screaming at the tv. i swear if it was mine i would have broken it. i cant wait till wednesday's redemption

Yea - it was a bad move on Tony's part - but he will learn from it and I'm sure we can expect more intensity and less Eva next game

I don't believe that Tony is all starry-eyed and thinking of Eva while on the basketball court, being distracted or whatever.

He just sucked. It didn't have to do with Eva, or his brother being there, or his friend Boris Diaw. He just sucked.

He got owned in the first half by Andre Miller and then didn't even make his first basket until there was like 3 minutes left in the second quarter.

When you have that bad of a start and you let the guy you are guarding get off to that good of a start, it's hard to recover. He has to sack up and learn.

    Revenge on Wednesday.

Tony shouldn't have been thinking about his desperate housewife. He should have been going over game tape and preparing for the game. He came out like it was a summer league game and didn't have any fire. Andre Miller destroyed him. Parker didn't get going until Pop called a play for him late in the first half. At that point, Miller was outscoring Parke 19 to 0.

I've always been patient with Tony Parker, but if he pulls another stunt like this ... he's going on my $hit list right next to Hedo Turkoglu and Karl Malone.

This is about winning -- not getting face time on tv.

"sometimes i think we lack mental toughness."

These Spurs are not tough, have failed many tests this season, most of them created by the Spurs themselves. They've been soft on the road against good teams.

The Spurs' league-best, franchise-best season dominance @SBC predicted a win tonight.

We can only hope the Spurs' season mediocrity on the road doesn't predict how they will do for the 3 games @DEN.

The Spurs were supposed to "flip a switch" for the playoffs? I thought that was BS when I heard it, and now I now it is.

No - he isn't distracted on the court. However, I feel that he shouldn't have made a show and strolled in like that - he needs to show that he cares and is focused & ready. What he did wasn't the best way of showing that..

Did you guys get mad when he "strolled in" last season with Lolo? He was wearing his sunglasses then too. Or is this just about Eva?

The difference is Eva is a flavor of the month chick who is banging half of Hollywood. Him strolling in with her is meant for both of them to get on tv. It was no accident.

That's crap that shouldn't even enter the picture come playoff time. In the regular season, that's fine. But this is do or die playoff time. Avery Johnson refused to talk to his wife during the playoffs. He didn't even stay at his own house when the team was in the postseason. He was focused 100% on winning and everything else came second. That's what a point guard should do.

Not come strolling in looking for face time and then be unprepared to play and get owned.

    Unacceptable.

You're all right I think I should take Eva off his hands for the rest of the playoffs so he can focus.

Well that probably explains then why he looked like against LA after game two.

Jeez, enough ragging on Eva. I'd think if anything Tony'd play better in front of her to try and impress her. Hopefully he'll cowboy up and retain his focus on Wednesday and not fall apart like he's done in previous playoff games.

This sort of thing is unfortunately one of parker's traits.

Tony needs to be prodded as the season goes along to remain focused and it will take a loss here or there to actually get his attention.

He is one of the few players in the league you can actually tell really takes another team lightly.

He's the type, if the team is on an 8 game winning streak, he'll walk into the game seeing the 9th as a given.

Even better, with his team as a high seed in a playoff series, he'll already have moved on to thinking about his next opponent, dismissing the opposition at hand.

Parker will be ready Wednesday...too bad he needed to lose Game 1 first.

Tony has to take some blame on this loss, but not all of it. There are plenty of people to point fingers at (Tim, Manu, Bruce) but I think we also need to try and focus on the next game...I don't know about you guys but the more I focus on the loss the more sad and grumpy I get. My co-workers and family don't really like that lol

This is why Tony takes a lot of heat in here. He is very y, which sometimes is a good thing for a player. But when you are y and you play poorly, that tends to really piss people off. It doesn't have anything to do with Eva. It also doesn't help that usually when he has a bad game it is either because he was totally unprepared and gets schooled by his opponent, or because he is pouting over not getting involved early.

Parker is still really young and I think a lot of people forget that. You just hope that he becomes more focused as his career goes on. For now this is the kind of stuff the Spurs have to put up with. I understand people getting pissed but don't act surprised because it isn't anything we haven't seen before.

It doesn't help that his main backup played like as well last night.

WTF? I basically agreed with you. But it's not like Tony hasn't pulled like this before, so I don't see putting it on Eva.
