Splitter latest rumor in some Europe websites is closer to signing with the NBA team San Antonio, but no definitive word has been confirmed yet

    uncertainties again.
For how long the front office can wait for him to come & fulfill his promise in the draft -that is he's willing to play in the NBA?
the NBA league should not allow players to apply in the draft IF after 2 yrs he CANNOT or opted not to play for the teams who drafted them.

the teams could have chosen other players, you know.
Yeah. The Draft declaration should be binding in some way or another (give or take a few years... sometimes stashing is works out well.)

Especially, considering... Basketball is growing across the world. I wouldn't be surprised if a European team offered LeBron 50 euros for one season. (It's a tough world when Russian Billionaires have to buy a hooker because they don't have face recognition... cough cough.)
Splitter didn't apply for, or opt into, the 2007 NBA Draft. He merely reached the age which made him automatically eligible. In the drafts preceding 2007, when Splitter could have declared for the draft he either declined to do so or removed his name before the deadline.

He'd have to be nuts not to. Spain is next in line for economic devastation, and there's even a faint question about the Euro's survival.
Thank God for the Greek economy, right KBP?

I wonder what other players who left NBA to Europe think about the economy crash right now?

I think their salaries are safe. Best players will still get every euro they have in contracts. Only smaller clubs could have problems.
