The Hawks are huge and physical, which makes DeJuan's performance even sweeter.
I'd call hawks a medium sized front line.
The Hawks are huge and physical, which makes DeJuan's performance even sweeter.
The Lakers, FWIW, are smaller than the Hawks if Bynum is out.
Being a forum for life doesn't make you a basketball mind.
When someone comments about the finer aspects of the game and some dip like you, who probably spent more time looking for your avatar than researching the game, spouts off some horse about the box score as if that contradicts the fact that Blair was lost for much of the game, including a few missed assignments on defense and a defensive 3 second violation, it's in everyone's best interest that you get slapped quickly.
Stats don't tell the story of the game. The final score does not show that the Spurs were ragged for most of the game on offense. However I suppose most of that is lost on the facebook generation fanboys like you.
Again, shut the up while the adults are talking.
Blair had a double double. Stats don't lie. So why don't you elaborate about Blair's disppointing game.
Blair had a double double blah blah blah...
Aren't you doing what I just slapped the other idiot for doing? What are you a stat ?
I didn't say he had a disappointing game. Try reading the entire thread before responding.
You yourself said you know basketball. A double double is the indicator of good game. Judging by your posts, I'm guessing your about 12, so ask a growup that knows something about basketball, and he or she will maybe help you out.
Stats don't indicate the quality of the game. Even rookies know that. If every single event was recorded, perhaps stats would indicate the quality of the game, but picks aren't recorded, screens aren't recorded, fast break points aren't in the box score, no one records a "good" foul... ad nauseum. Likewise, being out of position on defense isn't in the stats, nor is a missed connection that results in a turnover for someone else on the team, or a missed rotation or just flat out being lost on the floor. Those things aren't recorded in stats, but you see them if you aren't watching the ball all the time.
Ask a growup? Ok, Mavis Beacon your mom?

yup. i mean it looks like dejuan is going to be a target for taking the heat. i was suprised to see so many want to trade him. i mean with that salary we have a huge advantage!!
And I never insinuated anything of the sort.
Tsk tsk. Such hostility.
Such insightful statements! You mean there's more to sports than stats!?!? Such genius has never been uttered - nay, thought of - on SpursTalk... probably not even the internet!Stats don't tell the story of the game. The final score does not show that the Spurs were ragged for most of the game on offense. However I suppose most of that is lost on the facebook generation fanboys like you.I would wager that 4chan bows at your feet in solemn honor of your intellectual a en. You sir, are the pioneer of a new breed of sports fan, unique and original in thought and analysis!
You sound much closer to an 8th grader reading Internet Tough Guy Quarterly than a poster of any substance. Perhaps you should learn a thing or two about civilized discourse before deciding how superior you are to everyone else here.Again, shut the up while the adults are talking.

Jeff McDonald
...After earning All-Rookie recognition as a rebounder and put-back artist last season, Blair spent the summer honing other skills. He worked on developing some post moves. He added a mid-range jumper. He rebuilt his free-throw stroke.
When the regular season began, Blair — the shortest regular starting center in the NBA at 6-foot-7 — seemed intent on unleashing all of it at once. The results were not good.
“I was trying to do too much,” Blair said...
lol raging noob thread
i've been behind blair since day 1
I honestly don't understand what the people who are criticizing Dejuan expecting from Dejuan.
He's a 7 pts 7 rebs guy in his 2nd year in a team which is in the top of the standing and have 5 players average doubles digits. He plays 20 minutes in a night and 7 pts 7 rebs in Spurs. What were you expecting him? 10 pts 10 rebs in 20 minutes? Better defense? Better offense?
He's still improving his game and learning the Spurs. He's shooting free throws much better than last year. He steals the ball more than twice of last year. His foul/minute ratio is better than las year. And he's playing for 1M this year. Why aren't you happy? What do you want?
These clowns should have been ignored when they said the Hawks play small and insinuated they are a weak front line.
The Hawks have a good defensive front court and Josh Smith is as viable DPOY candidate. Blair is improving virtually every area of his game since last season and especially the beginning of this season. His defense and non-stat productiveness is exploding. His steals trend is rivaling that of the best guards. People here are crazy
Sure you did. When you use my number of posts to suggest I don't know what I am talking about... that's what you are doing (insinuating).
No hostility. I'm sure anyone who doesn't accept your advances is deemed hostile by you. I don't care what forum personality you are, which niche you fill here.Tsk tsk. Such hostility.
Maybe if I created some anime avatar, got a few videos together and a couple pics of scantly clad women I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in of ing, then started thread after thread of meaningless, player sucking garbage.... maybe then I could be one of the chosen few... no? Ok it then, I will just continue to post without all the hoopla and continue to tell assclowns like you to off when you pop in with some predictable box score bull response.Such insightful statements! You mean there's more to sports than stats!?!? Such genius has never been uttered - nay, thought of - on SpursTalk... probably not even the internet!I would wager that 4chan bows at your feet in solemn honor of your intellectual a en. Sounds like you you got your feelings hurt. You sound much closer to an 8th grader reading Internet Tough Guy Quarterly than a poster of any substance. Perhaps you should learn a thing or two about civilized discourse before deciding how superior you are to everyone else here.
How about this as a remedy: Ask why someone feels the way they do instead of trying to step on them with your post count and candy ass make believe forum personality?
Or you can just continue to be the socket around here.
lol blair homer
Full meltdown in progress.![]()
Wow, this thread is no longer worth viewing.
That's a common claim by people who have received a proper rogering on a forum.
I get the royalties on that one!![]()
