Yeah your right it is Chuck E. Cheese, it's Pistol Pete's that became Peter Piper.

Showbiz and Pistol Petes Pizza![]()
There was a video game arcade on Blanco across the street from Churchill HS called "Your Pleasure" (always thought that was an interesting name for a place for teens) it was an old real estate office converted into an arcade. Its where the Frost Bank sits now.
They finally closed that during my sop re year (I think) at Churchill. After that folks started hanging out starting a McDonald's and then left for either the cliffs or the ponds.
Alot of that stuff on the list my viejo has told me about. Too funny.![]()
I don't know if it was on there or not...you guys remember those old stores
"La Feria" man they had some great Guyabera shirts there![]()
i remember buyin some thinking "Damn! I finally have somethin nice to be buried in!!"![]()
All these places bring me so many memories. I guess, I am getting old.![]()
Who can forget Kress downtown. I used to love going there to buy my Angel face powder. That face powder had a nice scent.
I remember the Frost Bros. at North Star
they had a Godiva choclatier inside, and every time I went with my mom she would buy me 3 choclate seahorses. Thats a pretty cool deal when you were 5.
Now its a Mervyns, Godiva has their own store and they want 20$ for 5 Choclate covered Strawberries!
Commie Bas s!

Bowling Centers
Spare Time Lanes near the front entrance to Kelly AFB
I won my first junior Grand Prix tournament there, then the assholes at AMF bought it out and proceeded to close it about a year later.
there are others like Bowl A Rama, but that was before my time.
What was the Bowling Alley/Skating Rink/Bar on 410 close to NorthStar Mall?
Was it "The Sports Palace"??? There was like 50 bowling lanes!!
I was also remembering Chelsea Street Pub in Windsor Park!! Used to go in there and get the mountain of nachos and drink beer!!
Chelsea Street....nice. I went to the one in Ingram Mall. Mountain o' nachos and Texas Teas!

Is Jungle Gym's still around?
And for our field trips we went to the Butter Krust factory, A&W factory (w00t free thimble of root beer at the end), the Train Museum off Wetmore, and the Ins ute of Texan Cultures (what a whip).
Chelsea Street- that brings back memories. They had a sandwich there called the Chelsea King. Still one of the best sandwiches I ever had.
There used to be a place in SA called Zito's, where the "Serious Sandwich" was served. Is that place still there?![]()
Sports Place is now called University Bowl, and there are 40 lanes
San Pedro Bowl was behind North Star on Rector, won my first city tournament le there!
and Zitos is still around, they are @ Broadway and 410 and Blanco and 1604.

Yup I remember Piggly Wiggly in U.C.... What about Sommers RX next to piggly wiggly?? And Winn's?? I remember when HEB didn't sell alcohol (Beer and Wine), and on Sunday HEB would have certain areas of the store roped off because of the old Blue Law....For example, you could buy a hammer but couldn't buy the nails!!!
