-You lost your virginity at Mission Drive-In.
-You know exactly how to get to the Ghost Tracks from anywhere in town.
-You think pro-choice means flour or corn tortillas.
-You've never been to the Alamo.
-You think a health drink is a margarita without salt.
-You think being able to read the Taco Cabana menu makes you bilingual.
-You used to live in a neighborhood you wouldn't even drive through now.
-There has been a road crew on your street since before the Alamodome was built.
-You remember when Crossroads Mall used to be called Wonderland.
-You've been to Midget Mansion and the Fat Farm.
-You know all about the Dancing Diablo and the Donkey Lady bridge.
-You know that Wheatley and Brackenridge is the same school.
-You remember the Captain Gus show.

That list is scary, I identify with more than a few.

I was a senior in High School, my friend was in band and was marching during the parade, when all the went down.........the band got maced!!

That was another fieldtrip in grade school!!

Aww man, that brings back memories. I loved First Mate, then they got busted for false advertising, selling whale and saying it was fish.
I do remember Burger Chef...hmm, the "works".

You said it! I can relate to about 90% of that list. I can see a lot of the same rules apply to the entire Southwest, like learning how to make Mexican food. My mom never did learn, so I would just eat at all of my friends' houses as a kid. (Thankfully, my wife is a master at making Mexican food!) I lived in Universal City and remember stores like Woolco and Handy Dan in the area, along with "Lone Star" convenience stores. Does SA still have those? There was also a drive-in nearby, where I saw the original Star Wars movie back in 1977.You forgot cruisin at Brack park and then SW. Military drive on Sundays.

Which drive-in? There was the Judson-4 in Live Oak and The Starlight in Schertz!!! My first job was at Woolco iin UC!! I'm still in UC

I grew up across San Pedro (before it was McAllister Fwy) from the San Pedro drive inn.
Heading to Pappy's and drinking beer in the BAC parking lot on weekends.
