Damn, the Grizzlies are a y bunch...There are No. 1 seeds and No. 1 seeds. The Spurs appear to be -- relatively speaking, of course -- old and vulnerable.
You won't hear the Grizzlies say any of this, naturally. They're appropriately respectful of their elders.
But they certainly don't fear San Antonio, don't think they're outgunned or outclassed.

All those turnovers lead to easy points and make up for the fact that Memphis’ opponents shoot a decent percentage from the field — and a very good percentage from three-point range.
Whether that can work against San Antonio in the playoffs is debatable. Few teams take care of the ball as well as the Spurs, and few feature an offense better suited to making teams play for gambling. All of those backdoor cuts, surprise perimeter screens and swing passes punish overeager defenders.

A lot of Spurs fans still mad about them tanking to get us. Some may feel like it's a disrespect but I don't see it that way.
Given a choice any team would rather face the Spurs than the Lakers. I hope it serves as an extra incentive for our players so they can start the series strong and don't give the Grizzlies any hope, but it's a legite choice on their part.

I doubt it will matter against losers/tankers. They signed their own death warrant and mailed it to the basketball gods.
