It's amazing how y Laker fans are considering the WORST team in the playoffs outside of maybe a couple of bottom seeds in the East just took them to 6 games.

Equally amazing: Is anyone else just blown away that Dallas and LA have not met in the post-season in the Dirk era?

Does it matter now if they finish the Hornets in flying colors? Results are all that matter in the playoffs and as far as the rest of the league as concerned, they have delivered. They have advanced in the second round and are preparing for the encounter with Dallas. Meanwhile, the Sp*rs on the other hand........................

The Spurs are still alive, like any other team left in the playoffs. As you said, moving on is all that matters and that's what we're going to try to do.

One thing is for sure...Laker fan goes to the tree of woe never to return if the Mavs eliminate them. Mav krew will nail them to it and leave them there for dead.

The reality is that if this Lakers team would be playing anything like last season's team, they would have made quick work of that NO team...
Wrong! Last years team also had a 6 game first round

I really think the backcourts will be the difference in this series. Dirk and Chandler/Haywood will more than offset Pau, Bynum and Odom which everybody believes to be the main Laker strength.

The problem is that our 1 and 2 positions have been manned all year long by 4 PGs, three of them quite tiny. And you can't get away playing that against Kobe. That forces our SF on him, but leaves Kidd to guard Artest, and Ron relishes pushing smaller players around. That's the thing about the Lakers, they have great size everywhere, not just the frontcourt. So these problems throw our usualy backcourt rotations into a disarray. And leaves very few minutes for quicker PGs who can hurt Fisher, like Roddy or Barea.

As far as Dallas goes, Kidd needs to keep playing superstar ball... dunno where he found the fountain of youth, but he's been hitting everything and that needs to continue, especially since he's being guarded by Fish...

Yep Dallas can't exploit the one position LA is weak at defensively. Kidd is basically a 3 point shooter now.

This might actually be a good opportunity for Roddy to shine. I mean, he HAS to be able to get around Fisher, right?

LOL all of a sudden hornet fan and Spur fans are big believers in a team many predicted to fall to the Blazers ...

This is a big step up for the Mavs, lastr year they got whipped by a SA team that is not as good as this Lakers squad. It wont be easy if Dallas brings it but barring injuries we win in 6 ...we are the better team much like the mavs were better than the Blazers.
