With all due respect, when the Spurs signed him Nazr hadn't fallen in their lap, either.

Forget it mavsfan. I don't know what you're smoking up there in _allas. It's probably 70-30 or 60-40 that Glenn Robinson won't even be here next year, and you're counting on him to be our "defensive stopper" for the next 3-5.

    I give up.
Glenn Robinsobn is not a "defensive stopper" but he is a better option than an old Bowen and whatever you got now. You could make a sign and trade with Minnesota for Trenton Hassell or draft picks.

If the Mavs actually did that deal, the DFW media would be convinced Avery Johnson is still working for the Spurs.

Josh Howard is exactly the player the Spurs would be looking to get. Dallas will not do a deal that makes the Spurs better any more than the Spurs would have made a deal five years ago that made the Lakers better.
Dallas let go of Steve Nash to get Erick Dampier. I think you could convince them to do it if you gave them a (somewhat) legit center and maybe a draft pick. It'd be worth it for the spurs.

Sorry to let you in on this, but both them and their grandmothers are better than Dampier.

Dampier had a tough time with Stoudemire because he was the only one to that was able to guard Stoudemire. San Antonio had Mohammad, Horry, and Duncan who could guard Stoudemire to prevent foul trouble. We need a backup center.

Well, nobody can really guard Stoudemire. When he learns how to make his teammates better a la Duncan, he'll be amazing. I think what the Mavs need is a legit center, not a backup.

We need a backup that is as good as Dampier. Shawn Bradley is a joke so how about Bradley for Nesterovic.
