I recommend this course of action.
I think you should get your head examined, I recommend that course of action!
Yeah, so he gets no minutes whatsoever!
Because we need a undersized powerforward.
Yeah!
Because we don't have Scola coming in tommorrow. Yeah!
This could quite possibly be the dumbest thread in the history of Spurstalk.
Nazr is the man, no question. Starting center next year at this point.
And Malik dunks over seven-footers.
Did Rasho have even seven dunks all year?
Doesn't Rasho warm up the bench better than Rose.![]()
OOOOO!!! SCOLA!!!
*claps hands like a kid in anticipation*
Until the next dumb thread![]()
Well, that was kind of my point, obliquely. Rasho as the next great Spurs center?? Now that was dumb.
Obviously you forgot that Malik makes WAAAAAAY too much money.
Any point that pines to bring Malik Rose back to SA for anything other than the one time a year the Knicks come to get their asses beat is automatically the dumbest one.Well, that was kind of my point, obliquely. Rasho as the next great Spurs center?? Now that was dumb.
Rasho is a top 10 center in the league, Nazr's just playing better.
A center is more needed than a power forward. You need big bodies to guard good centers. Horry is the backup power forward.
Which is not saying much about the centers of Todays NBA![]()

I hate haters.
It's obvious Pop is going exclusively with Nazr because it "ain't broke," but Nazr/Rasho at center = matchup Nirvana for Pop next season.
Rasho and Nazr are ABSOLUTELY perfect complements.
Dre, I never said it did.
The point is, there's 20 teams in this league who would kill for Rasho. Spurs will get their long SF of the future out of trading him come this summer after Nazr is extended and Scola is signed.
You got a long small forward in Glenn Robinson. I doubt you could get any more than that for Rasho.
LOL, Glenn is not the prototypical LONG SF I am talking about.
And I guess I should consider the source (a Mavs fan), but a seven foot center who is a really good defender and could score given touches is something a lot of teams are looking for ( Rasho would be the missing piece for _allas).
I'm still leaning towards signing Big Dog for the MLE (if it still exists), but unless the Cavs can snare Michael Redd, GRob ought to get a nicer offer from Cleveland.
Big Dog = 20 ppg in Cleveland.
Calm down bro! I agree with you! I was just makin a joke about the current talent pool at center in the NBA. It was nothing against you.
Here's my take: Glenn has already made a lot of jack in da' league. He seems genuinely happy and comfortable with his surroundings in SA.
I can easily see him staying.
If not, no big deal, he'll head out with a ring. But I think SA would love to have him back and I think he'd enjoy the out of it.
Mike Brown wants consistent defensive players.
You got Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry. I'm sure one of those SF's can guard tall SF's. You don't need another defensive small forward but I guess it would be a bonus.
Bowen is what 33? Horry is 35, 36?
They wont be playin too much longer!
