Some good points are brought up in this video.

    Here's something else that's interesting.

I'm not taking any stand on this just yet but I doubt there was ever a great flood that covered the whole earth.

    I like this guy.

He doesn't necessarily debunk God but he does a good analysis of Christianity.
You will take whatever stand the most fevered paranoid brain can vomit forth upon the internet makes. You will then go forth and post and re-post the fevered imaginings of this defective mind to subject as many people as possible to your newest bukkake of stupid.

Let me know when that someone else does your thinking for you.

Just Have Faith. I'd rather fool myself about going to Heaven than know I'm just worm dirt.
So fool yourself about sending me 10,000 dollars. Pretend it's your ticket to Heaven. You won't know, right?

That^ woulda been better if he didn't have to add the re ed qualifier about how he's not trying to disrespect the troops

I used to hate Soulja Boy but since he came out with his " the army troops" song I respect him a lot more

More of a proctologist after giving the Darwin lovers in this topic a full rectal exam.

You mean when they went on a confirmation bias "discovery" trip and found boards? Yeah, that was "the ark" just as much as that orange buoy they found in the ocean was "the airliner" but at least we suspect there was an airliner.

    And you disbelieve scientific evidence?
Not surprising for someone who continually "quotes" the bible all the while porfessing disbelief in it.

At least I have the good sense not to quote something that I never take "literally".

If you don't take it literally, then it defeats the purpose. The only reason to buy into all of it is if the book is actually the word of god, in which case you'd be a fool to believe the word of god isn't literal, or to only choose certain parts to take literally or not. Otherwise, it's just a man written book with no weight or reason to believe at any level besides moral purposes like selling your daughter into slavery

Where is it a "fact" that it is the "word of God"?
Seems to be an opinion to me.
How on earth does it defeat the purpose?

It absolutely defeats the purpose of being a Christian if you don't take the bible literally. Either it's the word of god (in which case you better take it literally) or it's the word of man in which case there is zero reason to live your life and base your beliefs on the book. It's not a peer reviewed or scientific book, you have no more reason to believe it than any other fairy take if you do believe it is the word of man

There's no scientific evidence for an ark or a global flood.

    You're an idiot.

Yea, but first you have to figure out what God is actually saying in the book......and what he isn't.

Jesus spoke in parables brah. They weren't meant to be taken literally. By the Bible's own admission "he who hath ears will hear." People trying to take the parables literally is what made them not understand them. If Jesus is the same God as the God in the old testament, then taking a simplistic view of what he's saying is going to lead to misunderstanding.

Why did old testament Jesus kill young kids with a bear?

Picking and choosing which parts you want to believe is horse and nothing but a cop out. Did you even consider the entire book is a parable?

    Because they called someone baldy?

You could spin it that they were disrespecting a prophet.

This is also the culture that killed someone for picking up sticks on the Sabbath.

God also liked genocide back then too.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

You don't pick and choose what to believe. You just use the brain god gave you to reason that when Jesus said "he who hath ears let him ears" he did not literally mean to point out that people with eardrums in their heads were capable of understanding sound waves.
