Great first half by the Spurs...fun to watch...

Even better 2nd half by the Heat and Lebron in particular...every Heat player fed off of that and no one could miss...

Great experience for all the young guys....

TP was amazing in the first quarter...Danny Green probably got lebron fired up for the 2nd half....

Good chance to get a win tomorrow night...both TP and Timmy and Tiago should be well rested....

I missed the game but I taped it. Should I see the game or just burn the tape?

watch the 3rd, it was KL that was on lebron, all contested shots even though KL was late with the defensive attempts blocking the shots...then Lebron just took the ball up to the 3pt line and started chucking up shots which went in...

I'd watch the first half...the Spurs showed some promise and the game was fun to watch for the fact that the Spurs were spanking the Heat despite the ty refs and the Heat parading to the foul line time after time...

The 2nd half sucked for the spurs but it was a pretty awesome display of domination by lebron...one of those performances that only happens every blue moon....

I just meant that Danny Green showboating a little when he hit that half-court shot probably got lebron fired up at halftime and he came out with focus for the 2nd half...

why didn't we double lebron and make him get rid of the ball after it was clearly obvious he was just gonna go chuck up threes? that's what i want to know.
Because that's pretty much what you want him to do. As a team, at one point, they had made DOUBLE the number of threes that they had in any other FULL game this year.

I'm sure that LeBron wasn't the nicest team mate to a young Danny Green in CLE.

    ...about a regular season loss.

Plus we don't see them again 'till next season.
    Never?

This doesn't even rank in my top 100. The Spurs were a massive underdog headed into the game. A second half run was obviously coming. It was a test to see if the Spurs could stop the inevitable run. They didn't and got buried instead.

    Not much to it.

The most bitter I've ever felt at a regular season loss was when we lost to the Sonics prior to the 2005 playoffs. We fell to the #3 seed with a week or two left in the regular season.

I thought the Spurs were going to be a first round exit after that "devastating loss" at the end of March.

    Those were the days *sigh*

Regardless of the odds, we had it.

    Then we lost it.

    Then they took it.

Then we bended over, and accepted.

Miami hit some shots, that much is true, but that's going to happen. The defense just collapsed in the 2nd half. I've seen it before with them, a few years ago they were notorious for 3rd quarter struggles.

Yeah funny we find ourselves missing those DAYS at times! I miss them as well! I remember that year fully! One of my fave runs we had. BTW we beat the Sonics those last two gamse in 05 season, lost the first two, maybe you are thinkin the Nuggets? Yeah those type of games! That or T Macs game! This or Dallas game 7 with Manus foul! I have not felt so bitter lol, dude must be new to things if he feels that way about this game here. Dallas game one in 03 when we had a huge lead and blew game one! There is so many up there for me, this is not near one of them but a regular season blown game.

    Lol this

We've been ousted by an 8th seed who never won a playoff game prior to the series
We were swept by a team we historically owned
, we may be in store for another bitter playoff series.

Even in our prime we've had some bitter losses.
That pattern of losing would get most coaches sacked. I think that's why it's so important for coaches to have accountability. Pop has no fear and continues to do the same things that don't work.

As bad as the defense was against the Heat, it's possibly it could be worse tomorrow night. Howard could conceivably go for 30 & 30.

It could be really ugly. Who will guard Howard? Tim, if not Tim, Pop seriously wouldn't consider putting Blair on him would he?

That's why Tiago has to start. Rather than try and get Tim rest Pop should focus on getting him some help. It's getting ridiculous allowing the opposing frontcourt to have a field day on the Spurs weak interior.
