Just like Mello right?
While this is a nice award for Lebron, him winning the 2012 Finals MVP will be the sweetest award.
Lebron is the best player in the NBA, but he did not deserve the MVP award. Take him away from the Heat and they are still a playoff team. On the flipside, he was not able to secure the top seed even though the top team was without their best player (and reigning MVP) for a ton of games.
Chris Paul was more deserving, as he was FAR more valuable this year. He took a perennial loser in the Clippers and turned them into a playoff team that threatened to win their division (over the Lakers no less) until the end of the season.
Meh -- Shaq was never the guy who won games in the 4th, but he definitely had MVP-level seasons.
Parker and Rose were the best players on the best teams, but Rose was injured too much, and Tony didn't necessarily do enough this year to be a clear standout. KD was the best player on a team that had no excuse for not having the best record, and his statistical season was significantly behind LeBron's.
That basically leaves Chris Paul, who took a crappy team and elevated it enough to win home court advantage, and LeBron, who had an utterly dominating statistical season for one of the top teams. If the Clippers had won a few more games and been a true elite team, Paul might have won it, but LeBron is a completely defensible choice the way things shook out.
But really, it's just regular season hardware. LeBron deserves it, but he doesn't have to prove to anyone that he can dominate in the regular season anyway, because everyone's seen it. He's still got to prove he can win the trophy that really matters to silence any doubters.
Like last year?
Believe it when I see it.
Yeah but James does that whole chalk thing & jumps high
no chance lil niglet.... u know T.Parker (who should of won mvp) will cross that up with that killer crossover (tim hardaway esque) and lock lechoke up on D.
With Wade missing 17 games, how good would the Heat be without Lebron?
Amazing.... Lechoke can win the MVP 3 out of 4 f'n years and T.Parker who is superior in talent can't win ONE... ONE in his 10 years of domination. you Stern!!!!
Still has one more Finals MVP than LeBron.![]()
Newcastle mad
1st seed
Point Guard Position
meaning less award
I don't think they would, especially if Rose is healthy, and this voting happened before he went down.
Not bad. Simply laughing at the joke that is monkeyball association
Your penis envy is still too much. You have to just work with what you have, an inchworm.
Why don't you go find yourself some purple pussy
Nuh uh, you know what kind of pussy I like. I'm sure your sister appreciates some BBC.
In the Eastern Conference, they would still make the playoffs rather easily. Wade and Bosh would make for a good duo. I think they would end up in the 4-6 range in the standings. Take away Lebron and they are still clearly better than the Knicks or 76ers. They would probably have finished ahead of Orlando as they were free falling towards the end of the season.
Compare that resume to Chris Paul, who played on a team that definitely would not have made the playoffs without him. He also plays with one less superstar. His turnaround of the Clippers reminded me of what Nash did when he arrived in Phoenix. Nash was awarded the MVP (twice) over players who were far superior to him in their overall games (Just as James is with Paul). He won it because he was more valuable to his team. CP3 should have been given the same consideration.
The weak have to be abstracted. In example Nicole Smith
Why so mad?
You make some great points but no star of 5th seed in 30 years has been named Mvp
Glad to see games best player win it for a change
Co sign
Which again, has NOTHING to do with the MVP award
