On further rumination, that can't possibly be right.
Indeed. Last paycheck he got from Cubes was 2007-2008, when he got paid 18.5 million to help the Spurs defend their championship.

He was one of the best shooters the championship Spurs ever had, and that's saying something, as Kerr, Horry, Ellie, Elliott, Bowen, Barry, Jack and Manu play/played for the Spurs. But after '07 his defense and rebounding where terrible, he also wasn't able to do anything from the bench. He can't be serious about the comeback.

??? Word on the street when he signed was that there was a 10 year buyout built right into his Dallas contract.

I know that the max contract AK-47 signed with the Jazz had differed payments trough several years, its possible that the Mavs had Finleys contract structured in a similar fashion.

Yeah, it seemed like I saw something once that it was deferred over a number of years, but I simply couldn't find that link when looking for it last night. Perhaps Bruno will pass by and set us straight.

Yes as I posted he hit 44 threes during that 07 le run in the playoffs! Over 40% as well! Thats very good. I agree on the rest as well. He did his part though in 06 and 07, can't blame him at all he hit some big shots.

That's pretty nice of TP to be looking out for his former teammate.

It would be cheaper to dig up a corpse from San Fernando cemetery.

I'd take Fin over Wilk or James Anderson as the 15th, tbh.

Brent couldn't move his feet on D, either. I saw an 82-year-old shoot 100 free throws in a row, once. The elderly just shoot better, and if he can jog and take the min, he's regular season gold.

None of that was in blue.

    Do it, RC!

Ironic, considering Cuban is still paying off his last contract. Fin was still owed $51M in 2005 and it was payable over 10 years according to the buyout terms in his contract, meaning Cuban will be paying him through 2014-2015.
