Typical D'Antoni defense, tbh.
I'm speaking relative to how the trade has panned out for LA/PHI bruh. But even if you put it that way, who woulda thunk that ORL got the best outta det deal?![]()
Typical D'Antoni defense, tbh.
Lakers Picks 2013 Report
First round:
Lakers in lottery (1-14); pick to Suns
Lakers in playoffs (15-30); pick to Cavs
Least favorable Cavs, Miami, or Kings first round pick to Lakers (likely 28-30 Miami pick)
Second round:
Memphis top 55 protected (56-60) to Lakers
Mavs hold the right to swap second round picks.
tl;dr
Lakers will get the (~28) and (~40) picks
Lakers record doesn't matter since they will get Miami's pick (28-30 likely), and Mavs pick (40 since Mavs are projected to finish above the Lakers). Tanking does nothing and will only serve to give Suns a higher lotto and Mavs a higher second rounder.

Nikola Vucevic was the best big man in that deal.
Harden, Lin, TP, Manu, and Westbrick might as well live in the paint now![]()
Will this completely dismantle any Kobe top 10 of all-time arguments?
D-HO already giving up on the team.
Missing the playffs in your statistical prime, yet again, can't help.
I got me some Metta in my fantasy league

It will on ESPN and every site outside of Lakersground.
D'Antoni was positively re ed not sitting him last night, as were the Lakers medical staff not more intensively examining the injury following the Clippers game.
Damage control. Lakers PR team instructing the ape on what to say so it won't trigger widespread panic among all the bean3rs.
"My doctor thinks I have a labral tear. It may not be torn too badly since apparently it wasn't obvious on the MRI. I took three months off of swimming before seeing the doctor - I figured it would get better on its own, but it didn't."

And to note, an MRI isn't the be-all, end-all diagnostic method for evaluation the severity of this injury.
"This area is very complex and it is difficult to reliably get good pictures of this area with MRI.
However, if the MRI definitely shows a tear then frequently it will be present. The problem is that the MRI may miss smaller tears and cannot reliably make the diagnosis in larger tears of the labrum."

Failing to win a le with 3 other potential HOFers on your team... twice. Unreal.![]()

My source says a torn labrum is 3 months, minimum. Hard to treat, hard to get better, because it's in such a recessed area and you use it every time you rotate your shoulder.
Lamar was out for 3 weeks when he tore his labrum. Jason Smith was out for 2 weeks when he tore his. Dwight appears to be a fast healer. I expect at most 2 weeks. It doesn't matter anyway. By the time he decides to come back, I'm pretty sure the Lakers are so far out of the playoff spot the Lakers may decide to just shut him down for the season.
Sure, but as of now it's not reported that there is a tear.
It's amazing how fast pro athletes come back from serious tears, tbh. But this seems to be a re-aggravated injury and will probably be harder to heal.
...after undergoing an MRI that revealed the tear earlier on Monday.

If Lamar was out for 3 weeks, I see Dwight being out at least a month, since Dwight's game uses that area much more than a player like Lamar or Smith. With how active Dwight was last night, he could've really done some damage.
So when the lakers are picking in the lottery this year will they magically get a top 5 pick?
Nope, the Suns own their pick if it's in the lotto.
If they don't make the playoffs their pick goes to Phoenix.
Lottery--> Suns pick
14th and above in 1st rd goes to Cavs
