I can't lie, I was really hoping somehow Kawhi would've gotten a ring and maybe even a finals MVP after his 2nd year. Who would that have reminded you all of? If Spurs did manage to win the championship, I definitely would've rather had Duncan or Kawhi win it than anyone else.
Kawhi Leonard is the future of the Spurs. I think he'll have a chance to win some championships.

He says his goal is to be a NBA Superstar and he will begin working out next week. So far he has been resting. Also says he will never get over the loss in the Finals, but understands that it is basketball and sometimes you lose.
F in , that damn FINALS loss again I guess none of us will ever get over it from the fans to the players. I still hate it man. I understand it's a game too and you lose some, stings though.

I hope he is a superstar and achieves his goal! Work Ethic can take you to another height, we will need it!

I don't doubt that he will, but it would've been so cool to see him win a championship and Finals MVP in his 2nd year in the league just like Tim Duncan did in 99.

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ears though. Have no doubt about dude's workrate and determination but I don't think he was born with the talent of a superstar, nor does he play in a big market where the media would hype him into a superstar. He will be a durable version of the prime Josh Howard but you never expect a player like him to lead your team imho.
Howard had the skillset to be very special, in 06 he was pretty scary! He never had the head on his shoulders though or the work ethic or the durability as you said! I think he can be better than Howard, but even then I will take that if he can last.

The Heat had no timeouts left, assuming Ray Allen hits the 3 they are down one and have to foul. Even if we miss both they have to get all the way down court to score. Obviously it could happen but it would be 99.9999% over.
That 3 by LeBron seconds before put them in that position, obviously the missed FT by Kawhi paved the way for the tying Ray Allen 3 but I thought that 3 by LeBron was an even huger shot for Miami. Spurs still had another shot at the NBA le in game 7 and couldn't pull it off, Miami was fortunate things went their way in game 6. The Spurs need to play better in 2014 and stronger to get that 5th NBA le no matter who they play!
