Cd021 and his "advanced" stats say Manu's turnovers "didn't really hurt us" I kid you not.
Yeah I read that bull too, he said they only lead to 9 pts or some ! I am a Manu fan but my GOD thats three damn threes it possibly lead to and a few times we could have scored on our end too you know! I laughed when he brought up that dumb there and I am a Manu fan from way back. They hurt bigtime.
Lol I know, it's all Parker's and Kawhi's fault for missing a free throw each smh.

I mean just look at Manu guarding his guy, Parker plays NO defense
Some damn clown said it was Kawhis fault for missing a FT somewhere else and I said are you serious? He was one of the few to show up in games 6 and 7 and he was what 21 years old at the time? One missed FT and it's his fault we lost lol, not THE EVENTS that lead up to it. Tim did all he could to win those finals in that game, he nearly ended it with 31 and 17, never will I blame Tim for a missed hook shot in game 7 when he did all he could to end that in 6.

I hope Tony is hurt/tired, tbh... if he's not, and playing like this at 30 in his prime, then we really do have a problem. I still think he's hurt/coasting a bit, tbh
We always do have a problem.. so what..
We can't win anyways in the end..

they both deserve for the Finals. manu for playing like garbage and Parker for going 6/23 in a closeout game, trying to earn Finals MVP. His comment on Green, "I can't believe they are leaving Danny so wide open" was still an underrated moment.
I was so ing pissed when he said that. I had a feeling we were going to lose the series as soon as those words came out of his bas mouth.

And who's giving Manu a pass? I'm not. Overpaying for him this summer was a huge mistake.

If TP is hurt, then Pop needs to sit him for a few games, and he should give up his place on the all star game.

The facts that Parker haters cannot accept. Without Tony we wouldn't have gotten as far as the finals last year.

He won game 1 for us on clutch shooting. He pulled a hamstring in game 3(? can't remember exactly) and played ok (not great but okay) in the next couple of games because there was more than one day in between the games for him to get rehab on his leg.

He was getting so many double teams in the first few games of the finals that Danny Green was wide open for tons of threes. Who do you think GAVE Danny all those three point shots - yep---it was Tony!!

Anyone who can't figure out that Miami was gonna start focusing more on Green by game 5 is ignorant of how a great team (like Miami) adjusts in a series.

TP had the current greatest player guarding him in games 6 and 7. Had a hamstring injury, and still put us up by 5 points (those were HIS points scored near the end of regulation in game 6). KL missed one of two free throws. Manu missed one of two free throws, and Manu's man made the game tying three.

TP DID NOT lose that game for us.

In game 7 TD missed a POINT BLANK layup to tie the game at the end and MISSED it.

No one person cost us those finals.

Parker haters just hate him and then select the things that they try to use to support hatred.

Truth: Hatred precedes the playing. Not vice-versa on this forum.

Because Tony is French and two timed an adored Latina. It's crap. Tony isn't perfect but he's damned good. People who hate on him are looking for stupid reasons to hate. Excuses to hate.

I think spur fans who don't like tony are idiots. You don't know the joy of watching a great player before your eyes. This Manu vs TP is crap. They both play for the spurs . Enjoy them

Bottom line to all of you assholes. This is a team game. Parker and Manu play for the same team. Neither of them did well in the Finals. They had moments, but from top to bottom they didn't have enough. Manu was worse in the Finals obviously. But Parker was supposed to be our leader and an MVP candidate. Take it for what it is worth. Together they didn't have enough to bring a ring home.

    That's Jamal Crawford's award.

I give him credit for playing "better" this season than in the Finals. There
Not a chance Crawford wins it. Manus award to lose. Crawford is just a scorer.

    Wouldn't of been a need of a Game 7 without "8TO"

    ...

Wasn't a lie lmao. Jefferson and Dejuan Blair?!
Funny he had 2 turnovers in the final 18 minutes of the game. We were leading comfortably when he had 6 of turnovers. Thats a rather simplistic take. Pop shoulders the blame. Not keeping Duncan or Parker in to start the fourth.

Both players played in a 7 game finals, Parker got more MPG in the season and playoffs

Parker played for his national team this summer (Manu did the same at that age)

Manu gets hurt for weeks-months, Parker sits out on b2b's but still plays through pain

Look how many negative threads Manu gets, Parker gets 4x that.

Don't use the "But Manu is old" crap

    ^Add 2013-2014... 4 weeks (Hamstring) and TBD
    ...

I guess you latino homers will always use Parker as a scapegoat, huh? Cut the guy some slack damn. He still averages 18 and 6.5 on over 50fg%
You should stop making these horrible threads. What have you contributed other than getting everyone at each other's throats? People like you make this same damn thread over and over and over again. It's gotten old. Enough. Why not contribute and make a solid thread that people can actually contribute to rather than fight non stop? Oh yeah, because that might take a little work and effort. .

I made the thread because there's SOOOO many "Parker don't pass", "Parker is too old", "Parker choking heroball" threads, and dip s actually criticizing him even when he's hurt. off, don't be mad at me that its true... ST = Latino homers

PROOF: Manu injury thread = 7K views
Parker injury thread = 900 views

Good thread...the truth of the matter is the illegal immigrant population of SA will always side with one of their own. You can't really blame them, it's credit for why they even follow the game, much like all nips adore Ichiro over everybody else. It's the "hey, that's one of us out there" mentality and it can't easily be cast aside, no matter how many les he's cost them.

It's the old story: It's not the age, it's the mileage. Even though he's less than 4 months away from turning 32, he might as well be turning 35. Throw in his style of play and it would make sense for him to be in decline . . . yet I don't think he is.

I think his lackluster play (by his standards, obviously) is entirely fatigued related and that he'll bounce back next season at least close to the level he was at the previous two seasons. I just don't buy that, in the absence of a career altering injury, in a few short months he went from a top 5 player in the world to a non top 20 one.
