Might also consider Acura TL, or even the Mini Cooper S, I have friends that have both and are very nice. You may get the same enjoyment for a little less cash.

The only thing I didn't like about the M35 is their dash.. It's too funky. But no way does it replaces the Lexus LS430 like the article stated. My dad used to have one and there is no comparison. But I know you're wife will enjoy it. It really is a beautiful car.
S y, Lexus is a luxury sedan, it is great for middled aged women or older men, that is cool. Infiniti is a performance sedan like the 5 series BMW, it is made for tight handling and acceleration, but also has everything that the Lexus has as far as comfort and whistles and bells. Danyo is a young guy and guys like cars that can turn on a dime, excellerate through a curve without losing any traction and just kick ass. I have driven Lexus out my ass, I owned the SC300 for 4 years, and traded it in for my Infiniti. My I35 Infiniti blew it away in handling and acceleration. The M out performs my I35 and out performs any Lexus my miles.

I am sure the Audi A6 is nice too, but Consumer Reports says it is not as nice as the M, and from what I have seen, they are right.

oh, yes...definitely buy the house before the car.

But loans do come down to income, your debt to income ration and your credit rating. Credit rating is very important.

I'll check out the TL, but the Cooper is not powerful enough for me, I need a little more oomph.

I think you would like the TL, very reliable, roomy and 270HP.
Too bad the BMW M3 is too high in price otherwise that would be my choice hands down.

All my frinds that have BMWs like them, but they are high maintainence and seem to have to go get things fixed all the time...that turns me off.

Danyo, Scion has 3 cars, not just the Box, the sports coupe is pretty cool and only cost about 20K. It is a Toyota so it will last forever without breaking down, it is very reliable. As I said it is very popular with the college babes too.

The PT convertable will get you laid too.

    not really into BMW's either.

I know about Scion, I just assumed you meant the "box". The coupe just looks to much like a Kia to me, I'm probably the only one that thinks that though.

The PT will get me laid?!?! Everytime I turn the key!?!?

That's why I suggested he look at the A4, not the A6. And you can chip the A4.

    well as an example..
my sister in law who manages a wells fargo financial branch , was approved for a 185k loan with 3 points @ 6.75%.. she turned it down and waited the 6 months until lher car was paid off... the she was able to get a 220k loan with 0 points at 5.89%.
it worked out pretty good for her and thats the recommendation she makes ot all her clients. Unless they are just about jonesing for a loan and then she gives it to them casue thatss her bread and butter.

Is your sister-in-law my sister-in-law?? That's just too creepy for words.

    omg!
if i found a car with mis-mathced tires, ripped upholstry and chipped paint but the A/C was colder then the north pole I'd buy it even if I had to sell a kidney.

Jimbo, I think CR is talking about the the A6 3.2 engine. I'm talking about the 4.2 engine. Big difference in performance, plus you can get the S-line package which is different suspension, etc.

But it all comes down to a matter of perference. They're both beautiful cars, IMO.
