I don't get why you're all dismissing this post out of hand. Even though the writing of the author is beyond questionable, that doesn't necessarily mean we should discard his post wholesale. The author does raise some valid points.

For instance, it is true that Texas' lack of an income tax will be a financial incentive for Aldridge to choose San Antonio over Portland. It is also true that he is a native of Texas, and that his family lives here. Finally, it's highly conceivable that Aldridge would indeed take a one-year deal so he could get an even bigger max contract when the bigger cap kicks in next season. In fact, if Aldridge wanted to both make more money and get his best shot at a championship, taking a one-year deal this offseason from the Spurs is indeed his best option.

All of these are sound arguments that would indeed point to Aldridge choosing the Spurs over the Blazers.
He'll be the first big name fa (in their prime), to choose SA....like, ever...I guess there's a first time for everything?

Terry mings came to the Spurs right after being an All Star with the Bucks. Getting one every 25 years wouldn't be bad I guess.

I think the reason people are dismissing it is because there's no new information and it's just a summary of everything we already know.

You'd think someone who works for a public relations firm would know how to proofread.
    Beat me to it.

Was kind of convincing until the last paragraph when he tried too hard to convince everyone he's not trolling.

And signing one or two year deals is only reserved for the most elite players that can command a max easily even if they suffer a long term injury. People will always take their chances on Lebron, Davis, or Durant even if they suffered an injury that takes 6+ months to recover. But Aldridge will be taking a lot of risk because he's not on the same level as those players.

Didn't know his son lived in SA though, that's a pretty big lure.

"On 620AM Rip City sports radio station, a person wrote into the show this morning and the sports caster confirmed he knows the person. That the person lives a few doors down from LaMarcus house and he said that movers have moved all the furniture out of LaMarcus house.... which is a major indication that LaMarcus may have already decided he is gone...."

That was the first sign that made me start to believe the Lebron back to cleveland rumors last year. Pics surfaced of the trucks moving all of Lebrons expensive cars out of him miami home. Moving vans all up and down the block.

Nah, Spurs gave Parker $45 million reasons to stay here for another 3 years.
