You could probably have made an argument for him getting at least co-mvp in '05. TP really didn't deserve his fmvp. He played well but he won it playing against Boobie Gibson.
He was the game 5 MVP! It would be awesome to see Manu in the starting lineup, but I'll settle for in uniform for THE WHOLE ^%(ING SEASON!!

no point starting gino... he's made his name as our 6th man, and that's where he should finish his career
Yes, you are butthurt that no one agrees with your stupid request.
Now you're all over the map, you now approve Gino coming off the bench as 6th man. PICK A SIDE AND STICK WITH IT!![]()
I know, I did up hahha
Green is starting.
Makes no sense. Manu made a career coming in as the 6th man. He's embraced that notion, and has never had a problem with that. With your thinking, wouldn't it be better to start him in his very last game as a Spur? And not one of the last?...
I came back home to see the season opener/ring ceremony last season. Thinking about coming back home to see the Spurs open this season for #6.
Manu's made his name as part of the Spurs' Big 3, the most successful trio in NBA history.
I like the OP's sentiment, but it doesn't really make sense. What I think would be more fitting is to send them off that way. In the last game of the championship in a blow out Timmy, Manu, and Tony are on the bench. Pop calls a timeout with 5 seconds left in the game and subs all three of them in so they are all on the court when the horn blows and they win another chip. Manu brings the ball in with a pass to Tony. Tony passes to Timmy. Timmy clutches it with both hands and doesn't let go of it until it is in his trophy case.
Parker
Delfino
Kawhi
LMA
Duncan
tbh
Tony Parker - Patty Mills - Ray McCallum
Danny Green - Manu Ginobili - Jonathan Simmons
Kawhi Leonard - Kyle Anderson
LaMarcus Aldridge - David West
Tim Duncan - Boris Diaw - Boban Marjanovich
That's what my depth chart would look like. Obviously we don't know if Kyle Anderson or even maybe Ray McCallum are going to get rotation minutes during the regular season. Patty obviously plays the two guard on offense and I'm assuming Diaw is going to be the center out of him and David West, not that it really matters. I'm also assuming Boban doesn't get any kind of real minutes, but maybe Pop plans on using him in certain situations.
This is also under the assumption that Bonner won't be a Spur next year. I think he will be, but until he signs I won't make it official.
