The immigrants arnt coming for jobs. If you believe that, you qualify for "not knowing what you're talking about." This is topic with such widescale ignorance yet filled with strong personal beliefs that shift emotional ties so easily. That is the Hollywood story. It's not real. What is real is a country that is worse off than Iraq ever was before we invaded them. The people are running from the drug cartels and the corrupted military. The idea I read about sending busineses to Mexico instead of China, alreadye exists. Working a full 50-60hr week at major American Enterprises in Mexico will fetch you a cool 50$ per week.If it isn't a tourist destination, you probably haven't heard of it. Mexico is filled with cities completely run by cartels. These cartels basically run the military, and are allowed to exist by the U.S. government. The U.S. is the biggest import to all drug businesses. In this day and age, you don't get anything through the sky, but somehow millions of drugs are smuggled on a constant basis. Failed War on Drugs Link
That's what they're running from. Immigration in this country definitely needs to be updated, but the whole "they're the enemy" ideology is ridiculous. Theyre victims. It's the same propoganda that the government feeds with its welfare through main stream media, giving the idea that everyone on welfare is a drug addict, getting a free ride. Tennessee released a poll recently that said out of all their welfare applicants(who are required to take a drug test now), less than one half of one percent failed a drug test.Wikipedia lists over 100 politicians who have lost their lives in Mexico’s war on drugs. That list does not include a woman named Aide Nava González, whose headless body was dumped this month on a road in Guerrero state. Nava was contending for the Partido Revolución Democrática, the Democratic Revolution Party, slot on the ballot in the town of Ahuacuotzingo. Her husband, the former mayor, had been murdered there last year. A note from Los Rojos, a local drug gang, was left with Nava’s body. “This is what will happen,” it read, “to anyone who does not fall in line, ing turncoats.”
The methods, laws and politics of immigration definitely need reform, but it's not the people that are the problem. They are not "bad guys."
