Crofl @ anyone calling Mills a PG. And anyone calling him a great PG should just end it all.

Mills is our worst player now if yall have been watching. An occasional 3 isn't worth keeping his sorry self around
Someone who isn't a complete moron.

He is a SG in a PG body so to speak, Manu is the PG in reality in that 2nd unit. Mills gets hot and can hit some shots though so I like that, but seriously he is not an NBA PG.

It's just crazy how much of a pass he gets here tbh. Sure, he can get hot and hit some 3s but by then he's already given up 6-8 points on defense.

Damn I knew Parker's defense has been horrible this year, but 10.3%? He's basically 2015 Playoffs Parker. Who is he going to guard against Golden State?
I've been having nightmares about this, tbh

At least Cory Joseph could pound it out. Had a little power dribble to his game. Mills is in a long stretch of shooting % in the 30s with 6 points per game that's with Tony, as the backup, without Manu, with Manu. Current performance is not gonna cut it combined with being our worst defensive player and regularly getting burned by any above average guard.

5 years in SA already so naturally a lot of people would say it's over for him.

Agreed. Although I called him a "great backup pg" in one of my posts I really just see him as a great bench player because he isn't a pg.

And just a refresher here, Mills was a huge part of us losing to the Clips last season. Auscrub Rivers made him his .
Yeah, Jack's size would've been much better with dealing with Rivers.

Should've expected nothing less than spurstalk to defend a fan favorite like Mills. Jack minimizes the loss of Cojo and Belinelli to the team. As well as helps with the over reliance on Manu and Parker. Lastly he helps against the Warriors.

When some were talking about Trading Tony or this or that I always asked who on the team would be the PG then? They surely don't think Mills is a starting PG in the NBA? If so they are in for a rude awakening to have that guy start games at the PG position. He can get hot and hit threes in bundles and that is his specialty, period.

Tony is silently having a good year and looks a lot better than last year yet some are still hating on the dude.

Perhaps the most beneficial thing about Jack is that he is a much better fit for a potential matchup with the Warriors. Jack has the size and defense to switch to 1 through 3 with Danny or Kawhi without being a huge liability on any given possession. To put his defense in perspective his opponents shot -0.1% worse in 2014(so normally they shot 43.1% and against him the shot 43%), they shot -0.4% worse in 2015, and so far in 2016 they have shot -1.7% worse. Parker’s opponents have shot 2.1%, 1.3%, and 10.3% better for the same years.

Mills is one of my favorite players and I recognize him as being a great backup pg. I just prefer to trade for Jack because I think he can help us against our biggest threat and he makes the team less vulnerable to rest and injury.

wait, so your idea is to trade patty mills for jarrett jack? i honestly didn't read the post before i replied no cause the le was so dumb.

    no .

but you were the one who said he'd make us less vulnerable to injury

like that's even a thing someone could judge
and if someone could... you obviously couldn't.

No. Nice strawman though. My point was never that he individually was less likely to get injured than any other player.

Yeah, you cherry picked a line and left out all context.

You can make a point about the trade if you want but stop the strawman arguments tbh.

Manu's injury really lit a fire under Patty's ass again ... keep it up!
