No doubt about it. He was locked in on Durant. Hand in face and kept the feet moving.

Not sure if it was allowed because of time expiring but the block after helping out on D to close the quarter was spectacular.

This guy is part of the Spurs future. Glad Pop showing more faith in him than some fans.

When Kyle Anderson develops his jump shot a little more he's going to be a 6th man of the year candidate.

His defense was spectacular last night.
6MOY is awarded by taking all the non-starters in the league and sorting by PPG.

how is good d related with a 6th man? Aside of Ginobili, every sixth man of the year i can remember have been awful defenders.
As I see it the 6th man is a universal type of player that provide a boost from the bench and anchors the 2nd unit. As such I would want it to be a good aggressive scorer but also a strong defender - you don't want your D to drop off just because of what is usually your first sub.

Now I understand that the league may not put a premium on D when awarding the sixth man award, but to me a good scorer with a solid defence is the definition of what I - and hopefully most coaches - would want as skills for that role.

Kyle because of his length is a good defender with the kind of defense the Spurs play.

He also has very quick hands that cause a lot of deflections and steals.

He's going to get better and exposure to playoff basketball is going to pay dividends.

I'll have whatever you are drinking
What? If the defense progresses and he can develop a consistent jumper it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Apparently some of us do. In addition, I love his patience. Kyle is the only young player since Kawhi that avoids shooting out of his hot spots. Usually if you see Kyle taking a shot from a bad spot, it's because there's a clock involved.

It's funny that the same people that hate Tony Parker for shooting too much hate Kyle for not shooting enough.

After 2 seasons, I don't think Kyle gets the credit he deserves. His foot work is very good on defense. Playing in the Spurs system, he doesn't have to be the fastest player on the court. Spurs get back on defense better than any other team in the NBA. With his long legs and wide wingspan, Kyle is a good defender.

And his hand eye coordination, and hand speed, for steals is great. I think what makes him slow is his lankiness. Hes like a giraffe, looks slow but not.

But Pop benched him after only a minute. Doesn't matter that Durant came back in and Pop put Green on him. It must mean that he wasn't up to the moment and Pop has no faith in him!

, people! Just look at his nickname!
