Look, it's obvious Rubio is better than TP and for what the SL needs with the addition of scoring at the C position Rubio would bring in spades (great defense and passing).
However, there is an obvious risk with Rubio both with regards to money and shooting. Also, this really only made sense when SA had cap space and could absorb Rubio without having to send core money out. Now that SA is over the cap after FA, this makes even less sense unless you are trading TP which is not happening.
