american cricket
Yes they are.
Soccer spread in South America through British immigrant workers there. Brits pretty much spread all the big sports except basketball. Even baseball is a British game (no Splits, it's not a descendant of cricket). And American football is obviously a child of rugby.
You're right, MLB is trending UP!
two-thirds viewership decline from 30 years ago, just in net viewers
there were 80 million less 'Muricans in 1984
only old s watch fatbol, probably because they have something in common (fat)
Meanwhile...

Yep. Trending up.
"But CubsBetween FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX Sports GO, World Series Game 7 delivered a combined average of 40.9 million viewers. FOX Sports estimates that more than 75 million viewers tuned in to see all-or-part of the Cubs’ dramatic Game 7 victory on Wednesday night.."
Cavs vs. Warriors game 7 was backed by an even more famous American sports angle (Cleveland Curse), featured the two biggest stars in basketball, a 73 win team, and it still lost the ratings battle.
Also median age is a poor indicator of anything. Tastes change throughout life. You yourself went from liking baseball to "being enlightened" by a game that ends in a tie 30% of the time. Also, referencing national ratings is silly because baseball is driven by its regional presence, and it's "trending up" there:
And:Wednesday was a playoff bevy for sports fans with playoffs in both the NBA and NHL, and a great baseball game nationally, but in 14 of 24 markets, it was not hockey or basketball or even that Mets-Cubs that people were watching, but Major League Baseball on their local regional sports networks.
In a sign that baseball continues to be a regional phenomenon, from Cincinnati to Seattle, Boston to Tampa Bay, Baltimore to St. Louis, and more, it was regular season baseball games that crushed all comers in their respective markets over the NBA and NHL playoffs, as well as the nationally televised MLB game on ESPN.

And"median age."
I guess the NFL is going to die 6 years after the MLB.

Cherry picking data again. What you're doing is looking at this chart as if it was 2001, 2004, or 2009 and saying "beisbol is back baby!" when the trend is so clear a kindergartner could understand.
Do you know what the word "trend" means?
You're the one cherry picking. Since when are Finals matches (in any sport) indicative of the health of the sport or league? If the Spurs don't make the NBA finals, I won't be watching them. You also neglect to mention that World Series games often go to head-to-head against NFL games.
There is no "trend." You're getting your data from national TV broadcasts. No one is going to watch the Mets vs. Dodgers on ESPN over their own team on an RSN.

lol attendance per game through 2002
Again, what does a median age increase prove?
Do you or don't understand that tastes change? You've experienced it yourself being "enlightened" by a twink filled jogging game that ends in a tie 30% of the time.
You're also referencing only one data point. National TV ratings. Big ing deal. NFL's median age viewership is rising there, too. I guess the future trend for the NFL is to "die" a few years after the MLB.
Trying so hard to "prove" baseball is dying out of shallow Europhilia![]()

The hashes are 5 year segments.
Trying so hard can't even read graphs properly.
Ok.
lol attendance per game
Attendance pulls in 3 billion in revenue for the MLB. Lol indeed.
Just because people attend it doesnt make it a sport.
Millions upon millions attend church on Sundays. Dont mean the priests or altar boys should be called professional athletes
And before you say but theres a ball involved, watch thiss asshole
that only lasted one season.
amazon outbid twitter for next season.
Tbh, the type of people who like Skinnyfatball are the same type of people who thought Bernie Sanders would be a good president. They wouldn't know anything about smart business deals![]()
Could be worse: nobody attends floptrot games and it's not a sport.
