I won't spend much time on Kawhitter but, he 'QUIT' on the Spurs, plain and simple. Adults get together and work things out. Kawhitter never did that until he was forced to at the end of this fiasco. His uncle was the reason for this child's play. Kawhitter and his family wanted him in LA and not SA. They played it horribly. Kawhitter better have one of a season with the Raptors or he'll be done as far as ever being what his uncle wanted for him. Yes the Lakers will go after him but, he will not be able to handle 50 reporters cameras and microphones in his face after every game and practice. Kawhitter is just not built for the kind of scrutiny he'll be faced with.
As for Mrs. Holt, just what the do you actually know about her? You don't know a damn thing. Stop with your 4th grade gossip crap. Julianna would have and would today sit down with any Spurs player or possible player. However, that is not how it works. Owners rarely ever get between the team they've hired to negotiate contracts, i.e., GM, Head Coach, etc., and the player during contract negotiations! The exceptions are Jerry Jones and the Buss family. The Spurs did everything they could to keep Kawhitter but, he and his family avoided the Spurs organization like the plague. The Spurs medical team which is in the top 10 of all pro sports teams (NBA, NFL, MLB & MLS) cleared Kawhitter to play but, they let him get a 2nd opinion. And then a 3rd and a 4th. Tony's injury was far, far more serious and he came back in record time because he had the heart of a champion and wanted to be on the team playing with his teammates. The only reason Tony left the Spurs is he knew at his age the Spurs needed to transition. It was a mutual and amicable decision between Tony and Pop. Tony still loves San Antonio and plans to live here when he retires. LMA and Pop sat down like grown men and worked that situation out like adults do. Neither Julianna nor Peter had anything to do with it at all, before or after. It was all about how LMA felt he was not being used in the best way for his assets. And look at LMA's year last season. He was like the Portland LMA.
Your original post and follow ups were pure crap, i.e., made up 'FAKE News' and gossip. If you're going to make stuff up then put a 'TIC' at the beginning or end of your post. The whole point of this is we are all Spurs fans and we should work towards that end. Opinions are fine but, don't make them look and sound like fact. And gender and race should not be injected onto this board. If it is a political themed post then post it on the political board. I also will say I have nothing against you personally. I just don't appreciate someone attacking a friend (male or female) with no basis in fact. The Spurs are going to be fine for the long haul and will be in San Antonio for a long, long time.
