Shillary lost the election because she was an awful, unlikeable candidate, with a million skeletons in her closet, admitted globalist (in a cycle where globalism wasn't selling) and war monger.
There was nothing potent about her emails that would affect anybody that wasn't already a rabid conserva (and those guys *still today* are obsessed and rabid with Shillary). The whole thing was a three year dog and pony show, a farce, that wasted millions of dollars, lots of hours and only managed to reduce public trust in Congress. Not only that, you're also giving the POTUS another reason to play the victim card.
Dems need to pick their battles carefully, tbh, in light of having another old, unlikeable person as majority speaker in the House. At least until they define who the candidate is going to be, and the whole party aligns behind him/her.
The emails kept constant negative coverage of Clinton in the press just like Benghazi did. It's why I hope the Mueller probe drags into November 2020.
