Magic is who the Lakers should actually fire, but they're never going to do that. Every problem they have right now is the direct result of Magic being clueless about the modern NBA and how to run a front office.
I’ve never seen a front office guy let the media dictate his decision making so much , he drafted Longo because Longo’s ing dad said he should.

2 things from this game: 1. Brandon Ingram is done in LA. I think the whole Kawhi thing messed with his head in the off-season followed by the whole LeBron is going to get rid of you for AD. Dude is mentally weak (though to be fair he is only 21) and for his sake he needs to move on from LA. He doesn't fit with LeBron and he can't handle to spotlight that comes with being his teammate.
Ingram's had a bunch of subpar games this season. When he finally decides to takeover and scores 9 points in overtime, that's the game you come to the conclusion he's mentally weak and he's done in LA. Yeah, that totally makes sense

There is no OT if he "takes over" the 48 minutes before overtime.

Airball, followed by a turnover. Disgusting way to go out.

Pope needs to be thrown under the jail he's staying at.
This, tbh that airball and the follow up defense... On Eric Gordon three was trash. Andwhyda does that Nicca always turn his back halfway in the guy.on the guy he defends? I get opening up your stance to force him right but his defensive stance/positioning is awful.
That being said all the young guys even Ingram who has been looking ty showed heart and their potential in back to back games...vs contenders on the road in prime time.
Crazy thing us Ingram was the prospect I was mist sure of.. But recently both Zo and Kuzma seem more valued as keepers or trade pieces.
Not giving up on him but his development has been do slow

Shut up with this bull narrative. You
    Magic been fine.
ZO pick looks bad but showing some positive signs finally (then he gets hurt, again).
Even his knucklehead FA pickups and Tyson have all contributed to wins

    2. I think Walton needs to go. I see almost no improvement with any of the young players (except Kuzma) but when you have two #2 draft picks and your success story is the 27th pick in the draft, that's not going to cut it. Magic really put Luke in a tough spot and set him up for failure. Rondo and LeBron don't respect him and both think they are smarter than him. Lukes free flowing offense is the an hesis of Lebron and Rondo couple with Lukes inability to improve Ingram and Lonzo mean he is going to be out by the end of the year.
    Disagree wholeheartedly.
I don't love Luke, but development is largely on te player themselves and assistant coaches not head coaches. Not saying pop Kerr Spo etc don't play a part but naieve to assign most if that to a HC.
Now if Luke deserves blame it overreliance on his former Wildcat alumni on his staff and a failure to find a shooting coach which Magic suggested.

Crazy to say this after two of the best games by the young players, tbh.

Ingram actually looked good down the stretch here. Of course Austin Rivers was the one guarding him, giving up like eight inches in height. But he doesn't fit with the team because he probably doesn't fit with many teams. He has a weird, incomplete skill set at the moment but isn't good enough to feature.

Walton is gone regardless. It's what LeBron does. But this team is a junk drawer of weak batteries and broken screwdrivers and other crap. I'm not sure even Popovich could do much with this crew, much less a young coach. There's no clear direction from the front office or ownership and they let the kids run the coop for years because there wasn't an iden y. They got rid of DLo because they thought he was a headcase - turns out he needs a winning culture, imagine! - ran Randle off, who is a compe ive player, catered to Lonzo Ball and his family, let weedlord Brandon Ingram just sort of sit there doing whatever, and then surrounded LeBron with weirdos like Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson. I mean, what the is going on? This isn't Walton's fault.
