The brokeback derp has not come to terms with sad fact of knowing that hillary is more alpha male than he will ever be.

I think it was her pant suits that made him realize that and triggers him.

Trump is going to pull out of Afghanistan very very soon, believe me ... Right after he announces his health care plan, reduces the national debt, gets North Korea to give up their nukes, puts Hillary behind bars, gets a check from Mexico for the fence, starts a national infrastructure program and lowers the trade deficit with China

    Any day now ...

Military spending up and up and up.. .despite Mr Peace POTUS... somebody explain that one to me.

At least if you're at war (I prefer not to be), you can justify that .
That will always go up. It went up with Obomba would go up with Biden.

    It went down with Obama:
    https://www.macrotrends.net/countrie...defense-budget

2009 was Bush's last budget year and the budget was $668 billion. 2017 was Obama's last budget year and the defense budget was $605 billion. Then Dump increased it by 7% from 2017 to 2018 and (not shown in the chart) but it's only gone up more since then, Dump is bragging about how it's now over $700 billion.

It was still way too ing high under Obama, but I'll take what he did to the defense budget over what Dump has done.

    Disagreed

Comparing the eight years of George W. Bush’s base budgets and the eight years of Obama’s (including the one proposed today), Obama’s exceed Bush’s by a sum total of $816.7 billion ($4,121.2 billion for Obama’s two terms, $3,304.5 for Bush’s). (See the comptroller’s do ent, Pages 1–4. This chart doesn’t adjust these figures for inflation; if it did, the difference would be smaller but not by much.)

What accounts for this huge increase? Mainly, it’s the higher cost of weapons systems, most of which were developed during and for the Cold War. There are exceptions. The new budget requests $7.5 billion for anti-ISIS operations (up 50 percent from this year’s spending), $6.7 billion for cyber defense, and $1.2 billion for counterterrorism drone flights

    A few things:

    1) That doesn't change the fact Obama left office with a defense budget lower than the one he inherited. Something neither Bush nor Trump can claim. Both Clinton and Obama took over a defense budget and slightly decreased it over their presidency. Bush more than doubled the defense budget during his presidency, while Trump significantly increased it.

    2) Bush's total defense spending over 8 years is weighed down by how much smaller the defense budget was when he took office. Clinton's defense budget when he left office was ~$300 billion. The defense budget more than doubled to $668 billion from then to when Bush left office. Your argument assumes the false premise that each president starts with a blank slate and gets to set the defense budget at whatever he wants on day 1 when that's not how it works. Even if Obama wanted to go back to Clinton-era defense spending, there's no way Congress would have allowed it.

    3) If you want to go by total spent during a president's term, Obama's defense spending during his 2nd term will have been lower than Trump's defense spending over his 1st term. The Obama vs. Bush number you used is cherry picked and has nothing to do with your initial argument about Obama vs. Trump.

    https://mwi.usma.edu/president-trump...-historically/

In the modern post-WWII era of out-of-control military spending, Obama is 2nd to only Nixon in terms of which president took office and decreased military spending. Trump isn't as bad as the Cheney era neo-cons but he's worse than Obama was.

Obama still spent more as the article says.

Not gonna argue semantics. My point is every president spends more. Because US is a militaristic oligarchy. Biden will continue the trend

    You'll believe anything, won't you.

Why is ending the war in Afghanistan suddenly more likely and feasible on October 11, 2020?
