So am I nuts to think Victor could win 5xMVP until the media gets sick of giving him the award like they did with LeBron and Jordan?
It's a matter of playing your development guys over guys who aren't in future plans. I don't think he's done anything wrong, other than being too old for our timeline.

I mean the entire schtick during the big 3 era was that most teams used a 3 man rotation -Chicago was used as the other extreme- while the Spurs always went deep into their bench.
There is every reason to expect that Popovich with use all kinds of lineups deep into the bench looking for what works given that is what he has done for most of his coaching career in the first half of seasons.
Good grades, fun times! Bring on Wednesday!
He got a special rider on his State Farm policy to insure it.
I was surprised too. I had read a statement by him that he was working hard on his defensive technique over the offseason because he felt like he could challenge for the starting PG position. He also said he was in the best shape of his life. It really has to be a huge letdown for him to seemingly not be given an opportunity.
Darn. Sounds like he worked really hard. I wonder why he was never given much of a chance. I expected to have seen him play more in the preseason. Maybe, like Bruno mentioned, he wasn't very good in practice?
He’s a deadline flip, and will be given sufficient minutes to showcase himself.
IMO, Graham doesn’t play because the Spurs are trending away from playing one dimensional defenders. Tre is the only exception or they want to keep it to just one guy. I expect the team to continue getting players who are 6’4” and above…. Or players who dont meet that height requirement but have an above average wingspan + standing reach.
you got your wish
I personally take little from Graham not playing. The team knows him and his capabilities. He can plug in whenever needed to add shooting and his role is actually the most defined of everyone on the roster. Better get the end of bench guys run who will spend more time in Austin.
Tall Ball is still an experiment with the Spurs, so they will remain flexible until their experiment is either proven or disproven.
