6-4
I think Wemby is a lock to play 30 minutes a game. Heck, he was playing 20 minutes a game preseason and didn't play in the 4th quarters. He'll be on the floor in the 4th quarters. I think he averages around 32 minutes a game this year. I think your 6-4 sounds about right.

I remember last season when they stormed out of the gate. I suppose it's debated if they regressed to the mean or Pop squashed any minor progress they made. I think this season will be hard to predict. It will be interesting to see what adjustments other teams make to find weaknesses in our lineup etc.
Eh, I'll say 5-5 to start.
6-4, home crowd powers us, and we (briefly) figure out the Suns

Let's try to win the first game already.
It looks like Doncic is not yet healthy and will be out of the first game. The Spurs have trouble with Kyrie but they really should win against an otherwise iffy roster at home. I think the Mavs' inexperienced and undertalented front line does them in.
The lineups with both Kyrie and Doncic were awful last year, so this may be a break for them.
If Pop "load manages" Wemby - instead of playing him 30-35mpg - y'all will be 5-5.
That MFer can defend the rim and has the footspeed/length/agility and IQ to defend the middy and 3pt line.
And it's some straight BS that he ended up with the Spurs.![]()
They're going to be an awful team this year, imo, but any team with Doncic and Kyrie is going to be better than just Kyrie.
3-7 And that's not a bad start.
The roster still is young and has holes and not an easy start of the season schedule wise.

You’ll have your chance at him in four years, when he’s really good, if the Spurs are still fuddling around trying to find a stinkin’ point guard. Wemby won’t stay with a loser when he’s seriously ready to rock’n’roll.
So don’t give up hope. All we really know so far is that the Spurs have him to develop as a rookie.
The NBA HQ would love for Wemby to end up wearing that limp wristed yellow and lavender costume. It worries me.
But maybe PATFO still has what it takes to build a winner. We’ll find out, soon enough.
Kyrie is roster poison these days. Mavs will be a lottery team.
I hear ya Jazzy Jeff but if PATFO fumbles this generational player, just move to Seattle already. Seattle Superspurs has a nice ring to it![]()
Seattle Superspurs?? Oh man. Lol. Seattle is too rainy for me, tho. If PATFO blows this maybe I’ll end up a fan of the Las Vegas Craps, or whatever they get called.
Back to the subject of the thread, if the line is 5-5 I’ll bet a breakfast taco on the over.
We will win even more rings than in the Duncan era, while your Lakers will be in the play-in with Mr. Glass as your franchise star![]()
I know it was pre-season but man, there were a lot of empty seats in the camera sight line during the home games, people need to step up.
Yup. My only concern is when Pop inevitably has to retire, probably coinciding with that second contract. He may have been had silver and black so thoroughly injected into his veins by then that he tells his suitors to GFY.
