Sequ forgot what thread he was in...I got no problem with Horry. My issue is the wetdreams of Bowen being a DPOY when he clearly is not going to win and never will. It's wasted breath.![]()

I noticed that.... really I did....![]()

I think it's the new inactive rules (which would be awesome) but I've never seen it in writing.
Hey Topic Changer..... We're talking about Marks contrabandutions to the Spurs............
GTFO.
So is he. He's bringing it up to see if we'll be able to keep Marks on the active roster for the playoffs.
Thanks. Some day we'll figure it out, I guess.
Sequ, I'm skating to where the puck is going, not where it is now.
I'll just get back to my volleyball game now, until you catch up.
Well Pop is going to have figure it out....... Start Nazr, Rasho to the IR and Beno to the Nacho stand, but you know Beno has been okay lately...
I wish somebody would show him some Kerr tapes so he would quit running around like a kid with ADD.
Horry is not a much better defender than Marks. Horry gets torched by players all the damn time.
And Marks is a better rebounder by far. Extrapolation means considering how little meaningful playing time Marks has gotten.
I normally agree with you about basketball stuff. But you are really offbase on the Horry/Marks defense. I'm not sure if you are overrating Marks or underrating Horry. But it's not close at all.
And you can only extrapolate because that's all you can do. Marks brings energy in short spurts and can rebound in those spurts. Who knows if he can actually put up numbers consistently if he played 20 mpg.
Well, I'm probably overrating a Marks a bit because I've always loved the way he plays, but I've always hated how Horry plays defense too.
In any case, I would like to see Marks get more minutes.
I'm not so sure. I can only find these terms defined as applicable to the regular season and I've looked through the CBA for anything about playoff rosters and still can't find it??
“Inactive List” means the list of players, maintained by the NBA, who have signed Player Contracts with a Team and are otherwise ineligible to participate in a Regular Season game.
Inactive Roster Size.
Each Team agrees to have one (1) player on its Inactive List for all Regular Season games...

Both.I'm not sure if you are overrating Marks or underrating Horry
Hes forgetting how damn good a defender Horry is in the playoffs and what not.
Me too. I think he should eat into Nazr's minutes, except certain matchups that we need Nazr.
I just finished looking through the CBA and it doesn't mention any change to the playoff roster. I found this link to Yahoo where they show the palyoff roster being set on April 20th so it looks like it's the same as before.
Playoff schedule
Well as soon as we give him any regular minutes he'll get injured.
Too bad, really.
I thought about that too. He's pretty fragile. When he got hit in the nuts tonight, I thought he had got injured at first.![]()
Hey, last time I checked, Nuts were pretty tender.
If he keeps playing like this, the number 40 will be in the rafters.![]()

that is just wrong, at this point i don't care how they play just that they win.
This sounds like a quote Wayne Gretzky's father gave him when he was really young. The hockey thing, not the volleyball one.
People need to relax about Marks. First of all, he's not taking Rasho's or Nazr's minutes. He's a 4, not a 5. Secondly, he's not gonna get any serious minutes (unless injuries demand it) in the last month of the season and playoffs. He just won't. You don't play D, you can't play for Pop, it's that simple.
However, Orberto hasn't really done a whole lot either. He can't seem to be able to guard anybody, and the refs view him as a foul magnet whenever he's in there. Oh, and also, he can't shoot.
So I would look to promote Marks to our vaunted "5th big" / 11th man spot, occupied previously by Massenburg, and Ferry before him.
And Beno could still steal NVE's job by playing well during his absence. Injury or no injury, NVE really hasn't proven he deserves any PT, but then again, Barry was mostly terrible last year and came through in the playoffs...
NVE has proved himself long before he put on black and silver...
This isn't college...
Beno played well last year in spurts and then forgot how to dribble the ball past midcourt.
NVE will be a key player in big games, ie: playoffs.
As soon as Beno saw a trap developing tonight, he lost his handle then turned it over when the trap actually hit.
He can spot up but for Pete's sake let someone else bring up the ball.
oberto was playing much better when horry first got hurt. i think it was directly related to more minutes. he is a great passer and screener, and was really going after boards and tipping out balls in the air for offensive rebounds. then he sprained his ankle. he was getting better on defense, he just needs pt to get used to the nba game.
